Know "Foreign Glass" marked are later service replacements (seen reference to these coming in about "early 70's")

Seen some with England, some Made in England, numerous marking/number variations... above is a sketch of my two.

Small numbers on right are SF above 517 and 5452 above 3757 on far right. 15008 below A in circle...

What do others have?

Yes, that looks like an original lens, except possibly for the "A".

Some folks claim the "A" marks it as a replacement lens but I don't know enough about Lucas lenses to offer an opinion on that.

Does the chrome fog light housing have a small black O-ring or a large grey cone-shaped grommet where the wires go into the housing?

ETA
Check out Pete Disher's website regarding '68 Shelbys. The example he uses does not have an "A" on the lens.

LH side of the car shows replacement parts, headlight bucket has wrong color on backside, outer bumper arm Drake sticker. Looks like the front valence may be repro too. Nordan bumper. Door appears to be a '67. '68 grille with corral (but a GT with correct black/blue/black and fog brackets so, to me, a bit of a score). The hood may not be original, but until I pull it can't check the date codes on the rear lip, too hard to get to when on the car.

So appears something major on that side seems in the past.

But as both lights are identical and it would seem odd to replace a headlight bucket and not the lights, but maybe tehy got lucky. Just trying to figure out of they are factory or not...

I just looked at a total of 7 original Lucas lights (2 cars and 3 spare lights) and all 7 lenses have the (A) shown in your drawing. I'm sure it is original.

Interested in parting with any of the spares? I could use two for a project... I have 4 after markets but would be interested in originals for this concept...

I have one in my collection that does not have an 'A' so the mystery deepens.

I have 2 more cars I can check, will let you know but it'll be a while. Not selling the spares just yet, I think a set is going to my nephew. 2 of them have Shelby mounts, 1 has GT/CS Mount.

I just went out and looked at mine, on my 52K mile car. Neither has an "A" or SF 517, and both have just "England" at the bottom. It's hard to tell, but it looks like there is a 3 or 8 above the FT8 on the left side. My car was built in May, if it makes a difference.
