    . Can I brag a little?

Congratulations! A company called "In the News" does a great laminate (on wood - colors of your choice) plaque of your article to hang on the wall or display at shows - it has a very nice metal engraved plaque at the bottom telling your name and other info about the magazine. If you like that...

    1968 Car Alarms

Hi, I have a Viper alarm system with added electric door locks. It is very loud and effective. Someone tried to break into my CS to steal the stereo and they busted the vent window (glass shattered everywhere), but the Viper alarm motion triggered and they ran. So, I didnt loose the car or...

    License Plate Frame

Thanks Amy.... Yes, I did another run of these 2 years ago, so I have plenty left. If you would like one (or more), they are $22 each which includes shipping in the US. Send me a PM with your name and address and I will send to you. Pay me after you get and are happy - that is the way I...

. Satan is a cool girl

OK, please forgive if this is a dumb question - but does all the timing and performance discussion in this forum apply if you are using electronic ignition like Petronix in your distributor? Of course, I can advance and retard by turning the distributor, but is the Petronix module compensating...

. Satan is a cool girl

The back hose to mine was plugged off. My shop told me not to do that and to just leave it open and connected to nothing (I ran a hose under the air cleaner and it just lays on top of the intake - for better looks). Keep in mind I run a Edlebrock performer intake and 4B carb. Casey

All years. There is a thread for the newer GT/CS. Casey

    . Mustang Dynasty Book

I believe it was the GT/SC that was eventually used to test and create what is now the Green Hornet. From this picture we see the beginnings of the GT/CS - the prototype - but a dearborn car outfitted with the pieces. The blueprints I have date into November of 67 (maybe earlier....memory...

    1968 Shop Manuals

A standard 1968 Mustang Shop Manual (about the size of a phone book) will be very helpful - it does not cover the GT/CS parts, but it covers everything else. You can buy it on ebay easily. For the GT/CS parts, there is only one book and it is very hard to find and expensive. The best thing...

    . SAAC Officially Adds GT/CS

As I said, the SAAC thing might not be for everyone. But, I also dont think we as a GT/CS family should shun it. We have hard evidence that the 1968 Shelby and GT/CS were developed together, by the same people, and signed off by Shelby chief engineer, Fred Goodell. Even Fred himself in a SAAC...

    . SAAC Officially Adds GT/CS

Hi Arlie, I don't for sure what it all means yet. I know they have added GT/CS & HCS to the forum and are planning a cover page and article for an upcoming Shelby American Magazine. We are also included to come and be a part of the SAAC convention. Rick Kopec, SAAC Director, opened the door...

    . SAAC Officially Adds GT/CS

Hi All, I was hoping to keep this thread about SAAC. Most of you know I try to stick to topics relating to our GT/CS and HCS, and have worked hard to learn more and to let more people know about our unique car in many different ways. I am hoping we can do that with SAAC, and make some...

    . SAAC Officially Adds GT/CS

Hi Bish - sometimes personalities do have effect on forums. What I am excited about is the fact of SAAC embracing the GT/CS. I think new value will be added from that relationship, since the history in 1968 was so intertwined between the Shelby and GT/CS. I am looking foward to new inputs...

    . SAAC Officially Adds GT/CS

I just posted a small explanation about the HCS and how it is part of the history and also part of the registry on the thread "It's a trap". I also mentioned John's original GT/CS 428CJ. Casey

    . SAAC Officially Adds GT/CS

Arlie, I dont know about the registry question. From the forum discussion it seems SAAC is very interested in having a GT/CS cover car on their magazine. It seems like they are really embrasing the GT/CS. HCSStang, I am sure the HCS is included and welcome. Post something about how the HCS...

    . SAAC Officially Adds GT/CS

Shelby Amercian Automotive Club (SAAC) has now added the GT/California Special to their site due to the Shelby and Little Red heritage of our cars!!!!! I know some people aren't into SAAC and I dont mean to imply everybody should be. But, I was always hoping SAAC would some day recognize our...

    Passenger Door Lock Question

Tim, another person gave me the same answer you did. Again, nothing to back it up, but at least another data point that points to what you suggested as being the answer. Thanks, Casey

1968 A new kid in town

Welcome to the site. Its a great family and resource, and dont hesitate to ask your questions. We all started with little or no knowledge and have learned from each other. One thing for sure - you have a very unique Mustang to work on, which makes it all the more fun. Casey
