    For Sale 1968 cs/gt

I got a call from the owner of this car yesterday. I have listed my convertible "cal special" tribute car for sale locally on craigslist. He found it and inquired. Said he owned a Cal Special in Laguna Beach, that once sold he wanted to see my car. He mentioned that he tried to sell his...

1968 REAL Green Hornet up for auction

There was a really good article on the green hornet a few years back in Hemmings Muscle Magazine. I really enjoy reading about this car and Lil Red. There are also several threads about the car on this forum. It will be interesting to see how much it sells for...

Is that a yellow Grand Sport replica Corvette in the top picture? Looks like you and your neighbors had a great time. David

1968 Help identifiying a CS car!

You are missing the tail lights, not an inexpensive addition. In my opinion, lots of money to add to a Mustang Coupe.

    1968 My 68 GT/CS build has begun

Wasn't body color with the snap on chrome accent pieces an option on the styled steel wheels?

    1968 Radiator overflow tube

Here is what I currently have. It is 10" long by 3" round. Bad choice by me, too short and fat. I think 15" would be ideal, that is what I had on my HCS. 17" is probably ok. I thought I had pictures of the overflow on the HCS before I sold it, but can't find any. Attached are the 10"...

1968 Cougar GTE at Mecum Indy

When I was 17 in the late 1970's I drove a green 1970 XR7 with a 351C 4V and that car would shred tires. I have always wanted an Eliminator with a 302. Maybe I am not looking often enough or in the right places, but it seems the special edition Cougars very rarely come up for sale.

    J-code GT Convertible

This is a sweet car. J code, numbers matching, GT, deluxe interior. Last bid was $19,900. Maybe that is the current market!!?? If this car is a nice as it sounds, I was thinking it would be a good buy below $25,000.

    . '66 radio options

Probably not helpful for your 1966, but here is what my 1968 looks like. Alpine with ipod cable. Fits in stock location, with minor modifications. I also have 4 Focal speakers, two in the front kick panels and two in the rear. I think it sounds great and love using it with my iphone.

    1968 GT/CS Convertible

Marty, I think you might find it kinda of funny, the guy who built the car originally, had all the factory markings added to the engine bay and undercarriage. Just wish he had put on the california special scripts correctly and removed the running horse emblem on the front quarters. David

    1968 GT/CS Convertible

There is a thread here somewhere that talks about the possibility of "production" GT/CS convertibles. Probably over four years old. You can try and use the search function to find it. I exchanged emails with Paul Newitt about this a year of so ago. He said: o 0% chance Galpin made...

    1968 Matching # 302

How much of the original engine is there? Heads, Intake and Exhaust manfolds, Carb, Distributor, Coil, Water Pump, Alternator, Air Cleaner assembly. If it is just the original block, those additional parts could add up and/or be difficult to find. Tough call. I'd guess you would be into the...

For Sale Red '68 HCS in Connecticut

Not too surprising. The stripe kits for the HCS come with the GT/CS section. They add in some extra pieces to finish the HCS sticker, and you discard the GT/CS part. The HCS stickers do not come with the stripe kit, you need to contact Bob.
