    1968 Odd turn signal problem...

Sorry guys, I've haven't checked in for a while. Agreed on checking the grounds first. If memory serves, there are several that ground at a single point on either side of the radiator support. You want to make sure it's got a good connection with no broken wires. The feedback suggestion is good...

1968 Could this be a problem?

I always put a punch level with the crank and hit the end of the key. If you don't want to try and take it out, at least use a dial caliper and measure the thickness and then verify it's the same as the slot in the balancer. If it's more than one or two thousandths smaller, it will move around...

1968 Could this be a problem?

I'd err on the side of caution and replace the key anyway. A couple of bucks to make sure you don't damage the new balancer seems like a deal to me, and it wouldn't take much wear for it to be loose and move around. Steve

    Found a Van

I'm assuming that's one of those 3-D paintings. The people that do those have a lot of talent. Steve

Dealer sold car, now no title

Probably not what you want to hear at this point, but sometimes you have to pick your battles. At least if you have the title, you have legal ownership and can always sell it. If you fight him over a refund, you may wind up with nothing but court costs. If he's willing to present the title, I...

    1968 Wiring diagrams

The tail light wiring is the same until it gets to the plug in the trunk for the tail lights. Instead of a 2 prong plug there is a six prong and then the bucket wiring is different of course. Steve

    1968 Adding headrests to a '68

I have a set of '69 seats I was stripping and painting to use before I had surgery. I want the safety aspect, while still appearing "stock". Steve

What is your gas cost today?

We bought gas yesterday at Costco in Coeur d'Alene for Deb's Escape and paid $3.19/gal. Looks like we're 2 years behind in music and fashion and 2 weeks behind in gas prices. Steve

    1968 Flashing Headlights

Personally, I'd look at the head light switch as well for the blinking problem. There is a circuit breaker in the switch and if you have resistance in the circuit, or halogen bulbs, or just a weak switch, it will cycle on and off. Everything else, I agree with Neil. Steve

    . Photo Your Winter Fun

Well, I'm actually in job search mode, so no telling where I might end up. Aiming for Oregon to be closer to grandkids, but you never know. Steve PS, I'm not to bad at suspensions as well. I think we could make a team and get Cory standing tall in no time.

    Car Show disappointment

That's why I stopped going to the local "Auto, Boat, Speed" show several years ago. Pretty expensive for just walking around looking at the same stuff every year ( or what you could see on the dealer lot for free) and dealing with people that figured since they put up the big bucks to show their...

1968 Cali Special Poss Engine Replacement - Questions?

Joe, there's something I don't like about the car as well. It doesn't have Idaho plates and it's not parked in my driveway! "Dad"
