    1968 Tail light panel sealer?

My car had body caulk on it when I took the tail light panel off, and I reapplied 3M strip caulk when I put it all back together. I believe it's only function was to reduce vibration which would've cracked the fiberglass over time. Steve

    GT/CS Tail light repair

This is a good time to remember one of our own who is no longer with us. Jay passed away several years ago. Steve

    1968 Front Grill Repair

When I repaired mine, I either soldered it with a torch or mig welded with low current. Sorry, but it's been so long ago, I don't remember which method I used. It would've been one of them though, not that it helps very much. Steve

1968 New shoes for the girl...

I've heard of problems with a Panhard bar if it's mounted on the wrong side, but not a rear sway bar. Steve

    . West coast bbq/gathering - JUNE 22-24, 2012

I don't know if I will be able to make it or not. There are big changes going on at work and I can't predict that far in the future. I may not even get any rafting in this year. Steve

    1968 Rack & pinion steering

I like the idea, but being a cheap SOB, I might do some measuring and see if I can find a factory unit that'll fit, or come close enough that a little modification will make it fit, in the '69 Fairlane. Steve

    1968 Factory Disc brakes

Well I guess it all depends on your definition of "normal/average" driving. Steve

1968 Check out the new Online Registry Section

LOL. I looked to see if the data on my car was correct and couldn't find it. I could have sworn that I submitted it years ago. Then I noticed that all the cars were "C" code and the light went on. Scrolled down a little further and there it was! Thank you Jon, for once again going the extra mile...

1968 New shoes for the girl...

If you install a larger sway bar on the front, I'd put one on the rear as well. It will balance out the package better. Steve

    1968 Underside Scratch

I think if the U-Joint blew apart, it would've beat up the metal. This is just a guess, but back in the late 70's/early 80's, there were aftermarket cruise control units that had magnets that mounted to the driveline with baling wire to create a field for a pickup coil. If it came loose, it...

    1968 Tranny shifting issues

I would also ask the shop that changed the fluid what kind they put in it. If it just started after the fluid change, maybe they put in the wrong type. There's a reason there are different ones. Steve

    . Roll call

LOL! I was wondering if you'd remember. It's been a rough year, but I'm still kicking. Allow me to be the first to invite you to check out the thread about a possible get together in Grass Valley next year. I'd be great to finally meet up. Steve
