    Original Paint GT/CS For Sale

Jason, Thanks for the endorsement. I appreciate your comments. Casey, I forgot about the horse on the grill. Not sure why that's there, but it was there when I bought it, so I left it there. I'd have removed it if I was keeping the car. Scott

    Original Paint GT/CS For Sale

Well, it’s finally time to get serious about selling my GT/CS. I have decided to try to sell it here, before pursuing other options. I purchased this car from the second owner who had owned it since the very early 1970’s. I have only owned the car since March 7th, 2006, but a recent car...

    What price to ask?

That's right. At this point BJ is taking a small fraction of the cars made available to them. But they are looking for unique stuff, and a 390 CS might fit the bill.

A few pictures of my 68.5 Cobra Jet motor

WOW. That thing looks great. I always hate when I see a 68.5 with those goofy hood seals. Your's looks great. So does the starter delay. Send me the cap and I'll stamp it for you...or maybe I'll just sign it. OK?

    (Rock, Paper) Scissors?

For what it's worth, I've seen 3-different style jacks in 1968 Mustangs and 4-different style handles. The "J"-bolt and wingnut seem to always be the same though.

You are probably right. I'm not sure what the 2-piece version is called.

    Autolite Battery

David, I have bought two sealed ones from Antique Auto Battery in Ohio. Phone number is (330) 425-2395. They are the only ones making them. In April I paid $230 for one. The 2-piece export brace is correct for all 1968 Mustangs. Shelbys had the single-piece export brace. Scott

I prefer to keep the actual amount I paid for the car private. Most estimates of value are based on auction results, and since my purchase was from a private party it probably won't affect anything...except how little money I have in the bank. The NADA price guide puts the car (in excellent...

    ebay 390 gt/cs UPDATE!!

There's really no reason to buy a rusty GT/CS. There are plenty of rust-free ones around. A HCS is different because most of them went to Colorado. But most of the GT/CSs are still in California and remain rust-free. If the car was in a wreck, then you have a choice to make...whether to...

    Latest Mustang Purchase

Bob, Thanks again for the lead that landed me the car. I never thought I'd own one because of how rare they are. The prior owner in South Dakota mentioned another person in Florida that was interested in the car, but apparnetly passsed. Probably because of the price. As you know, this car...
