1968 J code cars and the Marti Report

Mine didn't either, although during the resto it got the heavier springs, GT rims, rear valance and dual exhaust. Steve

    1968 Sunny day at last!...

Great idea on the carpenters marks! I just did the kitchen and dining room yesterday, so it's still fresh in my mind. I even have an OEM mid '90's carpenter pencil. As we all know, it's the little details that make a difference. :cheesy: Steve

    1968 Sunny day at last!...

LOL! I could have referred to mine as a survivor, because it still had the "Contractor White" walls, original carpet, etc. It's only 16 years old and we have to change it already? What's up with that? Steve

    1968 Sunny day at last!...

I've been trying to do some remodeling as well, although so far it's just paint. Floors and counters come next. I think what we have is fine but I've been informed I don't know what I'm talking about. I hate those home improvement shows! Steve

    'Lectric Shelby

I get the feeling like we're right on the edge of the technological breakthrough that will make gasoline obsolete. If I could start my own company right now, it would be converting classic and kit cars to electric. Steve

Yep, that would be it. Steve

    I'm Tempted

Which one? Actually I've already put the baby shit brown (Med. Ginger) interior back in the '73 Mach 1, because I was going to get rid of the car anyway and it was easier than a color change, and I have to put the red plaid (Vermilion Random Stripe and Corinithian Vinyl) back in the '71 Boss...

    I'm Tempted

Hate to admit it but one of the cars I had in college was a Maverick Grabber with an orange interior. I bought it to "save gas" and not put miles on my Mach 1. I ended up selling it because I just couldn't stand sitting in it every day. Arlie, you just resurrected an old nightmare. Steve

    1968 Sunny day at last!...

I worked on one of mine as well, although in the shop because it was pouring rain. Nice picture Tim. It makes me wish I was there walking among them again, or bent over a fender watching brother Rob work his magic. Steve

For Sale eBay GTCS in Washington State

I've been through there a couple of times. Not much there except orchards and a couple of dams on the Columbia River. It's just a few miles north of the Hanford Nuclear Reservation. Steve

Happy Birthday! By the way, I'm not late, just really early for next year. Steve

    Do dogs chase cats?

I love it! No, it's not Eleanor, although the same body style. This one is a '71 or '72 (judging by the front bumper and valance) but Eleanor was a '73--and yellow.

. No good deed goes unpunished!

Sorry to hear of the incident. Jerks like that give all gun owners a bad name. You seem to hear of this kind of thing more in areas where guns are less common, and the coward thinks he's the only one that has one. I'm glad you're safe and hope the cops throw him in jail where he can spend some...

I'm sorry to hear of this Cory. Please give my condolences to their families. Steve

    From tactical to practical....

That's the reason I bought my Shelby GT. The fuel bill on my F250 Diesel was killing me! Much cheaper to run a 2007 Mustang as a daily driver. Steve

    1968 Original or Reproduction?

I haven't used the reproductions, but I do have a spare tail light panel for the right money, if you want to go that route. I know on the quarter extensions, the originals didn't fit very well. Mine were (in my opinion) pretty bad so I reshaped them so they fit nice and then found out they...

For Sale 68 Highland Green GT/CS

We try to protect everyone from getting a car they won't be happy with, and one of the ways we do it is to bring problems to light. Your ad didn't mention any negatives, so a fair warning went out. If you intend as you say, that everything would be disclosed, you shouldn't be offended that...
