    1968 Rocker Issue

It would me too, but everything else looks ok. I broke a keeper on one once (actually it was the ex because she didn't know she had to shift and just held the pedal down) and it broke the piston in half and punched a hole in the head. Yours will be much easier to fix. Steve

Wanted 1968 GT/CS Original side scoop

My passenger side was wiped out as well. A previous owner bought an original Shelby scoop and made a sheet metal blocker plate that was fiberglassed in place. Once you put the grill over it, you can't tell, so that might give you more options. Steve

Wanted Small Block Ford engine near Idaho

It's missing the carb, dist. and front pulleys. It has the intake (2 bbl) and carb spacer, TC cover, water pump, balancer, all sheet metal, and I have some of the accy brackets, but won't guarantee all because I'd have to sort through it. When you consider what a core charge is, it's probably...

    1968 A/c

Agree with Neil, plus most people use the Sanden when they convert to R-134. If you do switch to the 134, which is cheaper and easier to find, you may have to replace your lines because it's higher pressure. I had to replace one, although I'm using the original compressor. Steve

    1968 Rocker Issue

Which came first, the chicken or the egg? The valve stem might be bent because the rocker was pushing on the side of it. You could have a weak or broken valve spring, some foreign material stuck in the valve seat (have you lost any lock washers lately?), damaged or worn rocker arm. At this...

Wanted Small Block Ford engine near Idaho

Cory, I have a 302 that's complete from a '71 Torino that's decent. It had a rod knock so a good candidate for a stroker crank kit. I'd sell it to you for the $50.00 I paid for it, but I would really suggest going with a newer roller cam motor. I'd be happy to look for something for you if you...

    Soda or Sand

I haven't looked in to a replacement yet. I just know that I want to do it. I plan on switching to soda for at least one of my guns, and with the amount I will probably use it, will spend a little extra to get quality stuff. Steve

    Soda or Sand

First thing is, don't use sand. It causes silicosis in your lungs. The two products I regularly use are Aluminum Oxide and Glass beads. The alum oxide is for general blasting and the glass for soft metals like aluminum. The body shop I go to used soda on the '73 Mach 1 body that I'm just...

That would be great. They have pretty good pizza and sandwiches. I tried a new beer the other day, Blue Moon Winter something or other that was actually pretty tasty. To bad you won't be here in Sept. when the Mustang International is in town. Steve

    . AutoRama bound

Renee', I went to a local show here once that was put on by the Chevy club. There were 4 trophies for every class and 3 out of 4 or 4 out of 4 winners in each class were chevies. There were a lot of nice cars that didn't win anything, including a Plymouth Superbird. The "trophies" were a piece...

    1968 still overheating

I'm just getting in to this discussion, so bear with me. I went back and checked your older post and noticed that you said the water in the radiator was moving back and forth when it was cool. That concerns me. The water shouldn't flow until the thermostat opens when it gets hot. It suggests a...
