ADMIN New site feature! - GARAGE

I need to get going on mine as well. I did some during the beta phase, and then got busy. Jon, it's a great feature and thanks for everything you do for us here. Steve

    Adhering weatherstripping

I use the yellow 3M. A word of warning. Buy some 3M Adhesive Remover at the same time. That stuff sticks to anything it touches and doesn't want to come off. Steve

Looks like the only thing it's missing to make it truly horrendous is 4 wheel drive. Steve

    WOW Move-In Day

I'm curious how many car wrecks you caused from other drivers looking at two cobras' on a flatbed. Steve

    Introduction

Heck, you're right next door. You'll have to look me up when you rotate back here, so I can buy you a beer. Oct. is still early enough that we can get the cars out and meet up somewhere to wow the locals. Good luck, and take care. Steve

    New Addition

If you don't mind dropping some money, I'd look into buying one of those new 5.0 crate motors from Ford, with a 6 speed, modern front suspension and steering and a 4 link in the back. That would wake the old girl up. Steve

Washington on the east side? Where at? I'm just across the border from Spokane. Welcome to the site, by the way. Steve

    I'm Tempted

Haaaaahahahahahahahaha! Hey Arlie, if it won't fit under the hood, it should in the back seat. Fix it up with some corvette door handles and you're in business! Steve

    Scared $%#&less

Glad you're ok Renee', and before you spend a lot of money on a transmission, make sure your suspension isn't damaged. With an accident like that, it certainly sounds like it could've been, and the combination of tranny and suspension/steering could run more than the car is worth. Take care. Steve

1968 What do you like the most about the 1968 Mustang?

The one in the picture is the one I like. It looks like a cross between a '70-'71 Torino and a '71-'72 Mach 1, both cars that I like. Is that a factory sunroof in that picture? Never seen that before! You're going to cry when you hear this. In 1978 I was looking at a '65 Fastback on a Ford...

    68 gt/cs

A quick, easy check would be to see what VIN is stamped on the back of the block, and to a lesser degree, what the tag number on the side of the tranny is. Steve

    1968 Trouble starting new engine

This early in the morning, I can only come up with two ideas. 1) There are two different firing orders for 302's. A lot of rebuilt engines use the newer firing order, the same as the 351W. 2) You may have a bad starter. The gear reduction starters are supposed to turn over anything (they use...

    68 gt/cs

I'll have the credit card, a cooler full of beer and the Bar-B-Q ready! (For the record, in my younger days when I had my '72 Mach 1, I raced a '73 Mach 1 over Snoqualmie Pass at 3:00am at about 130 mph) Steve

1968 Anyone use these Hedman Hedders shortys in their SB car?

Here's Rob's old post on Stan Johnson headers. http://www.californiaspecial.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8246&highlight=stan+johnson Steve

1968 What do you like the most about the 1968 Mustang?

So do you not like the Falcon XB GT's, since they're the same size? I always thought those were cool cars as well. Steve

1968 What do you like the most about the 1968 Mustang?

To answer the original question, the thing I like the most is that they made the CS and I like the front end on the '68 Shelby's. I have to admit, without that, my favorites are the '71-72 fastbacks with the '70 Mach's and Boss's being a close second. Steve

1968 LED lights for front turn signals and others question.....

If I was changing the LED's in the dash, I'd go with red. My 07 Shelby is set up for red when the lights come on and I love it. Steve

2007+ 2012 GT California Special - It's confirmed by Ford

I kind of gave my opinion on another thread, but here's the way I see it, and correct me if my history is wrong. The SoCal Ford Dealers came up with the CS to move slow selling coupes off the lots. At that, they planned 5000 cars and couldn't sell that many, even opening them up to other...

    1968 Sunday "Car Day"....

We had freezing rain and massive pileups yesterday. I think we still have a little winter left before the horses leave the barn. Enjoy your good weather, hope you have fun, and show the other brands how it's done. Steve
