POLL: Meeting at Carlisle to celebrate the 40th? Please be realistic in your answer.

Due to the low response to date on this we won't be getting a "reserved area" for our cars. We just don't have the numbers to justify it. I'm hoping we can at least park together. I don't think the early and late models can be together though. I understand the Fun Field is broken down by year...

    One year later ...

Something I didn't expect just happened to me. I was searching for info on Gold Nugget Specials on the Internet and came across a forum where someone was asking questions about a GNS. I was scrolling through the posts and saw in one reply, someone's signature said they had a 68 GT/CS for 19...

    Gold Nugget Special on eBay

Wow this car is all over the internet! I was searching for some Gold Nugget Special info. It's for sale on craigslist and other places and this exact car is even used on sites that cover the Mustang specials and the owner referenced in the article gave them pictures of the special Gold nugget...

    Gold Nugget Special on eBay

I agree the wording is misleading on the "factory option engine" ... he doesn't say it was original ... and it was a factory option ... so he could have worded it that way intentionally. Why post the info that it's a 289 from the factory if you were trying to say it came with a 302? Nowhere in...

Sell my GT/CS to buy a 69 Mach?

Kind of like that new Cadillac commercial... "The question is ... When you turn on your car ... does it return the favor?" My CS does everytime. As does my 96 GT Convertible which is why I still have it ... always plan on selling it ... go for a drive and say ... what am I crazy? I've...

No offense intended Bruce - I think you knew that though. I clicked on "NEW" link on the New Posts page without reading the topic and that popped up at the top of my screen and that's all I saw. I read it and said huh? I laughed and then had to scroll up to remind myself what the thread...

    Factory GT or Mutant GT

No what I meant was that if you got the 390 I think the GT package was included. Or maybe that wasn't your question.

    unreal

I watched it for the cars (car) and the technologies they were showing ... I wasn't expecting emmy winning performances or anything ... it's just an hour of TV that I don't have to think and just watch  It might have been mentioned here but I was reading up on it and they used GT's to...

Let's Get a GT/CS to appear on Knight Rider!

Already been done in the Herbie Fully Loaded, but in the opposite direction. He falls in love with a New Beetle ... they go off to inspiration point etc etc ... At one point he's checking her out and Michael Keaton tells him ... she's too young for you. We don't want to copy that and...

    Factory GT or Mutant GT

I'm sure we can find a thread or two or three discussing this one for the many of us who wondered and asked the same exact thing. No, in 68 a GT/CS did not have to start life as a GT. You could get the CS package on any Mustang with any engine choice, 6 cyl, 289, 302, 390, 428. The GT part...

The Return of the GT/CS Window Decal!

On my showboard I made up, I breakdown the numbers of what the total number is made up of to explain the plate frame and marti discrepancies. It's part of my verbal history lesson of course too.
