1968 can't see this one in registry

It doesn't seem to be a true GT/CS.

    1968 shelby 10 spokes

Yep, keeping those puppies polished is a nightmare, and even though they are called 10-spokes there are about 30 spokes per wheel, not counting the rings.

How does a 42 differ from a 45, other than being 3 less?

    1968 Dealership

Newport is a town of only 2,000+- people. I'm surprised it would have had a Ford dealership. There is a Newport area of Seattle, but I don't think it is a recognized town. Can you get any more information?

    1968 shelby 10 spokes

The SAAC guys think they are worth around $250 each if they are unrestored, and in the $500 range if they are restored. So you're looking at between $2,000 - $2,000. Plus center caps and lug nuts.

    Wildfire Burns Vintage Shelby

A fire in the Wenatchee, Washington area blew through a wealthy neighborhood, and into the main portion of town, burning a Shelby GT500 along with many homes. http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/washington-state-wildfire-victims-return-burned-homes-32118736

    1968 verdict?

Because of the raised portion on the rear of the wheel I think it may be a Version 1. It looks like there may be a casting number inside the spoke at the 1:00 position? I'll post the photos on the SAAC site and see what those folks have to say.

    1968 Mecum Denver 2 CS/1 HCS

We've seen this before, where owners switch out the badging. Are the scripts glued on or did the former owner drill the quarter panels? If it has a DSO of 51 it's an HCS.

Yep, I fat fingered that one. Fixed it. Thanks for the catch.

    1968 shelby 10 spokes

Rob, Not necessarily. The 15" inner rims are closer to the upper ball joint than the 14" rims so even with the same offset they may rub, especially if the new tires extend beyond the rims. Been there. One way to avoid speedometer issues is to make sure your new tires are the same height as...

Here is a good 10-spoke information site. http://www.thecoralsnake.com/spokes.HTML Pete is a member here, maybe he'll chime in on the value of an original set.
