    1968 reasons why you own a 1968 GT/CS

Yeah, I pulled it out a wrecked '67. The seats were from a '64 T-Bird. Being young and poor I had to use what I could find!

    1968 reasons why you own a 1968 GT/CS

My first car was a C-code 4-speed Highland Green GT/CS that I bought for $300 in 1977 and used it as my daily driver until until 1988. It never let me down even though I put it through hell and back, and even wrecked it once.

    1968 289 or 302 block

The '68 302 heads are highly sought after because they have larger intake valves (1.78" vs 1.67") and much smaller combustion chambers (53.5cc vs 63cc) creating higher compression (10 vs. 8.7) and more power, but premium fuel is recommended. These heads were used on Shelby GT350s so the Shelby...

    1968 Grill Rivets

Another option is to use pop rivets and fill in the holes with spot putty if you're going to paint them. If you want to leave them natural the dimples could be filled with solder as x-codegtcs mentions.

    1968 Grill Rivets

You're right, there should be two on top, using the wide holes, and one on the bottom. Here are some photos of an original.

    Christmas Songs

Those of you who know me understand that I tend to swim against the flow so it should be no surprise that I like Christmas songs that are not ones we hear over and over every year. Here's my list of favorite Christmas songs. Tender Tennessee Christmas - Amy Grant...

1968 Suspension parts kit or individual pcs?

My only advice is don't purchase suspension parts based on price. Cheap suspension parts tend to be cheap suspension parts.

    1968 289 or 302 block

The casting number above the starter may also help. Ford converted 302s into 289s by using the 289 crank, rods, & pistons, & maybe some other parts. http://www.mustangtek.com/block/Block.html

    1968 oil pan

Rob, I think you mean oil pan gasket set, not oil pump gasket set. Taking off oil pans is almost like looking under sofa cushions. Many years ago I took the pan off my first GT/CS and found a piston skirt in it!!!

Wanted Lucas fog lights for 68 GT/CS

Do they need to be the black O-ring type or would you be happy with the gray cone type? This photo shows the difference. The lights are the same except for the grommets, so if you don't care about grommets I'll sell you my brand new pair of the ones with the gray cone grommets for $300 plus...
