    Maybe; maybe not. We're not sure about all the debut cars. Some of them may have been standard coupes that were converted for the show. The work still work have been done in the San Jose plant, but not necessarily "on the line".

    Deluxe belts have chrome trim. Standard belts have no chrome. I'm pretty sure all '68 Mustangs came with shoulder belts.

    I think it's the wrong year gasket. From what I understand '68 water pumps have 2 more holes than '67 pumps. You may have got a generic gasket for all years.

    1031 Mile Mustang

    The guy selling this car on eBay claims it has only 1031 miles on it and it has been garaged its whole life. When I asked him when the seat covers were replaced and when the passenger door was repainted he said both came from the factory that way. What do you think? The seat covers look to me...

    The first test to see if a car is a real GT/CS is to make sure that the VIN starts with 8R01 and the last 6 numbers are between 130000 and 175000.
