    HiPo Exhaust Manifolds

Just a heads-up for anyone thinking of installing reproduction '65-'67 HiPo exhaust manifolds. Be sure to file or grind down the casting seams on at least numbers 5 and 6, but it may be a good idea to do all of them. The seams prohibit the use of a spark plug socket, which makes installing...

    1968 Recent Sales on eBay

If these are legitimate sales prices our cars are certainly increasing in value. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1968-Mustang-California-Special-All-Docs-Since-New-/330497313492?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item4cf32ccad4...

    1968 Gone But Not Forgotten

Won't do any good. As soon as he sells his convertible on eBay he'll be back with another GT/CS!

1968 Shifter 4 speed top loader

The Ford parts manual shows a washer on top of the rubber grommet. I'll do a little more research and see if I can find out why type of washer it is. I can't figure out what type of washer it is but it's part number 356590 (XX-171).

    1968 Oops! I did it again :-/

And have you seen that beast of a pickup truck she drives? Now let's think about this a little: a 9-foot tall F350 chasing me down in Los Angeles. For some reason I don't think I'd be stopping!!!

    1968 Sequential Taillights

That's right. Any '65-'68 windshield will fit in any '65-'68 body style. As far as I know the only difference in any of them is that the '68 came with a bracket glued onto it. Could another difference be that the '68 windshield was laminated differently due to tougher safety regulations?

The '68 windshield being different is another urban legend that refuses to die.

    Wanted 1968 GT/CS Grille

They are nearly impossible to find, but it's real easy to make one, and no-one will ever know it's not original. All you need is a '67 grille, tin snips, a pop-rivet gun, pop rivets, and the fog light brackets. Paint it all dark charcoal and you're done!

    1968 Sequential Taillights

California Specials did not have sequential taillights. Shelbys had them. It's possible the one in the book had dealer-installed sequentials. It'd be interesting to see which book incorrectly states that the lights were sequential. My guess is it's from the error-riddled, The Ultimate...

1968 What would be afair price for these NOS side scoops?

I second Scott's "not sure". I wouldn't spend that much money on them for my car but that doesn't mean they aren't worth the asking price to someone who is looking for NOS scoops. I can't remember ever seeing a pair of NOS scoops on eBay so it's difficult to say what they will sell for, but...

    1968 Web site problems?

Don't know if it's really necessary or not but I've been told by our IT people to delete all cookies every 3 or 4 months, plus all temp files, using Accessories - System Tools - Disk Cleanup.

    1968 Center console

Tim, Are you trying to stay completely '68-correct? If not, have you considered using a Humphugger Cruiser Console? It has cup holders, storage, and an arm rest, which are things that are sorely lacking on the '68 console.

1968 Is this side scoop original?

It looks like it's from a '69 Shelby. Definitely not from a GT/CS. These are original. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1968-California-Special-GT-CS-SCOOPS-nos-Cal-Spec-rare-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem45f6412620QQitemZ300484208160QQptZVintageQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

    '68 Deluxe Wood Door Panels

I love the latching mechanism. Isn't there a website called, "There I fixed it" or something like that? These photos need to go there.
