    For Sale 1968 gt/cs

Not mine, saw this in Denver Craigslist. This car was for sale about 6 months ago and he pulled the ad after not selling. I have talked with the owner, not seen the car though. I believe he owns a European auto repair shop. Says the car is in excellent condition...for what it is worth...

1968 Beating the heat! Any thoughts on radiators?

Go aluminum. Copper is getting expensive and aluminum is better. If you do go aluminum, pay attention to the antifreeze you use. Make sure it is compatible with aluminum. It certainly won't look stock, though. An electric fan will make a huge difference when in traffic or stopped. It...

For Sale 1968 HCS T code for sale or trade

At one point I was looking to buy an early Falcon and ran across this car. Turbo vs v8 conversion? Maybe worth a try. http://sacramento.craigslist.org/ctd/2334608180.html

1968 4 speed toploader = close ratio vs wide ratio

Once you are in 4th gear, close ratio and wide ratio are both the same (i.e. 1.00) and it is the rear end ratio that impacts RPM's. 60MPH turing 3K RPM does not sound like 3:25 gears. I'd say more like 3:70's. Were you in 4th gear?

1968 4 speed toploader = close ratio vs wide ratio

My understanding, but I am no expert, is that you need to match it up with your rear end gears. In general, wide ratio will do better with a higher geared rear end (i.e. 2.75 or 3.00) and close ratio will do better with lower gears (3:90). Close ratio the gear spacing is closer and thus the...

    'Lectric Shelby

Check these guys out. They have done a bunch of gas to electric conversions. One was turning a cities fleet of trucks to electric. Another is a vintage Mustang Convertible. They also have a nice inventory of classic cars for sale. I love visiting them and taking a ride in an electric...

    '68 Cardinal Special

The Camaro did not have to do special editions to drive up sales, they sold on their own. Sorry, could not resist. I have owned 3 first gen Camaros. Loved my 1969 Z/28. But I do miss my HCS. Looks like Mustang has outproduced Camaro over the years, though. Lifted from the internet: Since...

    AutoTempest Search Engine

Looks like an interesting search engine. Here is the one I have been using for a while. Seems to be running slow some days and normal others. http://www.jaxed.com/cgi-bin/mash.cgi?cat=cp&itm=mustang&loc=&fil=california+special&ys=1968&ye=1968&ps=&pe=&pgs=100&submit=++++go++++

    Anyone near Springfield, Mass??

Anyone live close to Springfield, Mass? I sold my HCS last month and have an eye on another car. It is not a GT/CS, HCS, or even a Mustang. It is a relatively rare classic though. Wondering if someone is close by and can check out the car for me. I'd really appreciate it, and be happy to...

1968 Reserved spot with my body guy

Scott, Good luck with the build, exciting times. I totally agree with the do what you like philosophy, but never was a fan of the argent tail light panel. It is interesting to me that it took 3 months for your car to sell. Sorry to go off in a tangent, and I am sure this has been discussed...

    1968 European HCS

Sold my HCS, it is now in Canada. Wondering how many HCS are there. I have been talking with Bob Teets about modernizing the HCS registry and building a data base that will allow this type of questions to be answered with minimal works. I am going to try and get it done over the next few...
