    It should be 157 tooth flex plate for 1968 cars with 289/302 engines. Specify "Automatic Transmission".

    Depends, are you keeping the cast iron intake, Autolite 2V carburetor, and single exhaust? Then get a mild 289/302 cam and new lifters. Always inspect the rockers and push rods, and keep them matched to each other. Replace if you find excessive wear or bent push rods. Ask your engine guy if his...

    As far as I know, the factory had ones for manual transmissions and automatic transmission for the 289/302.

    Vintage Ford alternators did not charge at idle speed rpm's. A lot of owners notice that their headlights also dim when they come to a stop light at night.
