1968 Cali Special Poss Engine Replacement - Questions?

+1, Warranty, built to last, all parts built to work together. Various sizes and HP and they'll ship it right to your doorstep. If I had to do mine over again, I would go the crate motor route. Just make sure you stay with a reputable supplier/brand

    1968 Hood Stripes...

I like the stripes down to the black of the engine compartment. I gave this some thought before I had my car painted and this is what works best for me. Not stock but I like the look.

    1968 Trunk wiring

I installed a third brake light on mine at the rear shelf at the bottom of the rear window. If those wires are hot when the brake is engaged your already there. Ground to the body below the shelf. Easy upgrade and nice safety add-on. (if your not into concours) I know we have plenty of...

    1968 Tail light panel sealer?

When I removed mine it didn't have any caulking between the fiberglass panel and the body of the car. There was however caulking between the taillight insert covers and the car. These photos will clear up what I'm saying.

Thanks for checking I just called over there and they looked at the sides of the block. There aren't any numbers on the side of the block?? Doesn't make sense to me that someone would remove them? Any other suggestions? I'm at a loss on this one!

    . Engine ID

Can anyone help in identifying a 351 engine? I would like to know what year it is. The only identifying numbers I could find are stamped on the left side of the rear end of the block. They are either 6G222599 or 66222599. There is also a forged #10 on the block and on the heads is a forged...

    1968 Front Seats

Rob, I recommend you check out the 2005-06 Mustang bucket seats. The six way power bracket will not fit but the seat will and it matches almost exactly to the original look. I have the 05 buckets in my GT/CS both front and rear. The rears will take a bit of fabricating to make brackets that...

    . 68 Convertible question

I know there are distinct differences between a 6 cyl and 8 cyl coupe for 67-68 Mustangs. Apart from the engine, front springs and radiator, can anyone tell me what the differences between a 6 cyl and 8 cyl convertible for 67-68 Mustangs are?
