Paul, You are exactly correct. I purchased two caps from Branda, thinking that they would fit fairly well. My original driver side cap is very restorable, but my passenger cap was hit and destroyed. I'm hoping that I can get an original from Mosesatm. Thanks for the information, Russ

I agree with Hook, drill your holes first, run the screws into the holes, install your carpet, place your console on the transmission tunnel, and find the holes with a long ice pick, THEN install the screws. Russ

Casey, You can find the casting dates on the heads near the valve springs. Also cast into the heads are "289" or "302". Usually "302" indicates a later head than 1968. The casting dates will help you identify if they are "correct" for your car. Russ
