I would agree that unrestored cars and that one in particular are the best resources for information. One thing to consider is that optional equipment can change some things.

Thank you. The 'bringatrailor' photos, and the engine bay video, are very helpful. I believe this along with Paul Newitt's Recognition Guide will get me where I need to be. Marti Auto Works was an excellent source for the correct hoses, clamps, battery cables and belts. I appreciate your help on this.

Is there a good source that shows the transition between the red oxide and the black of the engine compartment? Was it more or less random depending on who applied the black paint?
Is Paul's book accurate?

Yes, it was a bit random. Most importantly was not to see the red oxide from the top side of the engine bay. I do not know how accurate Paul's book is on these details, I have not studied it but I think Jeff Spiegel helped Paul with the concours parts so they may be pretty accurate.
