This is the other one I mentioned. I believe this may have been sold at the Mecum Auction in Newport a few months ago. No picts of the engine but if I remember that car had a Shelby style long air filter. Still a clean car but worth $38k? If it is the Mecum car it went for around $25k I think. Thoughts?

Its a nice small block, worth $25K+/- with only minor infractions. IMHO. (It is in the Registry)

That's what I thought Neil and if that is the car I think it is then that's what it sold for recently. I guess if I loved it I could make them an offer. They did have to pay a buyer premium...

The other car you asked about (approx $25) is the same as this one ... note the rear mounted antenna, argent tail light panel w/ GT gas cap, the white interior w/ Shelby signature on visor, Shelby gear shift knob, Shelby 10-spoke wheels, etc. ...

... and the VIN (8R01C149736) matches  ... maybe you could go to the lower priced listing and make an offer ... I know it's been on the market for at least several months ...

I spoke with the seller about a month ago, Unfortunately, he was advised by a "So called Expert" to purchase the car at 32.5K and that "It was the deal of a century as they are extremely rare" who claimed to know everything about the Mustang Market. I broke the news to him he was ill advised. Broke my heart. I advised him he may have to consider dumping the car for what he paid for it, or even take a loss on it just to recover some of his money and make it up on another sale. Anyone interested should make an offer and see if he might take it.

Thanks for that update Mike. Hard to see how they could have such a delta if they are both selling the car on consignment. So is the general consensus it's worth the $25k? Or is that even pushing it?
