Yep, I wrote the article(s). All but one of those cars is from members on our site - and one is a GT/CS and the another is a HCS! So congratulations to them! They are: Jason, Kim, Scott, John, Bob (Ken is a friend of Scott)

Some time ago, someone asked on this site how to get their cars into the magazine. I offered to help and came up with the idea of a multi article on the 428CJ. I got the green light to do the article from Mustang Times, and then put the word out on this site. The articles you see are from those who responded.

I can't say there is any one that I like the most because they are all so beautiful and awesome.

I do want to say that I was excited to get John's original GT/CS into a magazine since it is a GT/CS and such a rare one! Cool pictures of him in 1969 and his long time friend that sold him the car brand new at the dealership! Awesome and rare, rare car.

And how do you like Bob Teets RACING his HCS around cones. Man, I thought our cars were designed to go STRAIGHT. He has a lot of guts putting his car through that road course!

Scotts cars are true time capsules - you can't find more original specimens in this good shape. The yellow one is super rare!

Kim's car and her knowledge of the 428CJ are awesome. I am a big fan of Brittany Blue!

And then there is Jason's car - the engine was an awesome picture and it gets double exposure being on the front cover of John's Mustang catalog. Cool!

Lastly, though he was not a member of our site, he was great to deal with. Ken's convertible is extremely rare! The pictures are while it is still at the resto shop and he hadn't even seen the latest resto pictures until he agreed to add his car to the article. It was cool just to get a glimpse of that rare car. Thanks goes to Scott for pointing me to Ken.

YOU SHOULD ALL BE PROUD OF YOUR CARS! Nationwide Mustangers are drooling over them right now as they read about them! Congrats!

Casey

P.S. Got a car you want to do an article on - send me a PM.

Thank you Casey,

This afternoon I was showing my friend the May issue of the Mustang Times,
his name is LeRoy and he is the guy who sold me my California Special 40 years ago.

Had a chance to read through the articles this morning.

Nice job Casey and congratulations to all the owners.
Great cars for many different reasons!!

p.s. I'm curious to know how Kim secures a child seat in the back though  Haven't figured that one out yet.

I just have the kind that is self-contained with it's own complete harness for the kid. It is secured in the back seat with the lap belt. A Britax, IIRC. My kid isn't quite four, and she only weighs not quite 40#, so she's not in the booster system yet. She rides around in the back on the passenger side with the passenger seat back leaned forward to give foot room (and to keep her feet off the back of the seat, grrr!).

Don't mean to go off-topic but you feel the lap belt alone is secure enough?
I have a 5 yr old in a booster and a 2 yr old in a regular seat.

You can PM or email an answer to me to avoid us going even further off-topic

Now back to our show...

Well I guess MCA isn't going to send me my magazine. Been waiting for it to show up and it still hasn't. If anyone has a copy they don't want, I'd love to see the article. I'll pay the postage.

Thanks,

Scott

It's weird Scott. Last month mine came much later then everyone on the site. This month mine came pretty early.

Give it a chance. If it doesn't show up let me know.

It is a great article, it is also a change to see so many different cars featured in the same article. A+++. I really enjoyed it.
