Many people hate the Lime Gold...I do not like Red(too common) I even like pebble beige since its an unusual color.

Anyone who "hates" a 1968 color that you will definetly not buy or paint your car?

My '69 XL convertible was originally ordered with a custom color that looked like "Lilac Mist Irredecent", which I believe was a '68/'69 T-Bird color. I called it "Philadelphia Pimp Purple" and there was no way in h--- I was going to repaint it that color. It had already been repainted red in the distant past and I didn't even find the remnants of the original until I stripped the car down.

My least favorite is the Lime Gold, followed closely by Seafoam Green. I often thought that Ford must've bought 50 million gallons of Lime Gold based on the number of cars that color (as WAS mine). I have no problem with color changes, even on concourse cars when done properly. MCA doesn't judge on Marti Reports, just the door tag - which can be purchased to depict the car's current color, etc. I know there are purists that contend that you 'confuse the car's identity' if anything is changed from original configuration. And that's OK with me. That's why they make chocolate & vanilla ice cream ! Different opinions can be a healthy thing.

Have you ever seen a Pebble Beige GT/CS? We've been looking for one for years. They seem to be the Bigfoot of the GT/CS world.

A member of VMF forum has one that he offered once for sale but not anymore. it had a front end damage but the car was factory pebble beige. He sent me pictures and you could see it in a distance. I like rare and unusual colors...thats why I dont like red. Prefer lime gold than red if it comes to that choice.

That's ashame. Someone sold a 69CJ rough project last year that was the same color for $85K.

I may have left it the original color, seeing it is so rare. But that is just me.

Hahahahaaaaa!! Heck no you can't hurt my feelers that easy! I actually am not that fond of Lime Gold either! But it WAS the most popular color in 1968.
I wasn't gonna say anything about "Resale Red" because I love red no matter what. When I painted my car years ago, I couldn't afford to re-do the whole interior and it was five shades of green....so I didn't have much choice except to stay with Lime Gold. Nope, it isn't easy being green!

My FIRST '68 Mustang was Lime Gold. I did a color change to Black/Black.

My LAST '68 Mustang was Lime Gold. I did a color change to Yellow/Black.

My RIDE '68 Mustang IS Lime Gold. And I'll be eternally grateful.

My absolute favorite color = Highland Green (who had that beauty @ Mike & Robinette's?)
Next best = Candyapple Red (aka Arrest Me Red) My last resto was a '67 GTA convert. Red/Red with a white top. An absolute knockout!

GEEZZ!! I hate that gawd-awful Highland Green, especially on concours cars...it's hideous!....no..no....wait, I meant..uh..Pebble Beige, yeah, that's it!!

Sorry if I offended "anyone" at all out there with a Highland "Bullitt" Green GT/CSs out there that might be concours, and....might have won a Gold Award, and...are in California....(but what are the odds of THAT?).

For myself, I kinda like Royal Moron...er..Maroon!!!
