Anyone have a bra on?

I was curious to know if anyone is using a bra on their classic Mustangs or other classic car?

I use bras (aka front-end protectors) on my newer cars and I'm happy with them, as long as I keep it well waxed and clean underneath.

My concern is that the bras for the older cars may not fit well and would flap causing paint damage.

I have the new 3M bra on my 2005 GT and like it a lot. It was installed by a company that installs tinted windows. You can cover the front facia, the hood, the lower areas of the fenders or any other area that you don't want rock chips. It is clear and shiny, and you really have to look close to see the bra. If you want paint protection and don't want to have the look of a black vinyl bra, then I would look into the 3M product.

Actuuuuuaaallly........As a child of the 60's I guess you would be surprised that I 'grew into' the idea of using bras. I prefer the smooth ones that don't create puckering. If you have the proper fitting one it hooks right up and there's no tugging and adjusting needed. Proper measuring is key! Now make sure you wash it gently in Woolite and hang to dry.

If someone would invent a bra for a car that had lace instead of the screen insert...now I'd buy that! Lots of different colors of course.

I'd only use mine for long road trips, where I knew there would be a lot of bugs and road debris, like the time we drove up to Expo 86 in Canada with a group of Mustangers from Sacramento.

As for Donna, she'll just have to hang in there...(do they make ambulance bras? The "Nurse Diesel" collection"?)

I believe that the "two-clippers" were used for the "Bugeye Sprite", and the "four clippers" were used on the Rolls Royces with the larger headlights.

Back to topic though. My thought was to use it on a long highway trip, not around town or local trips.

So, it seems no one is using one on their classic car.

In all seriousness, I know that we tease, and give Donna a lot of attention here, but I have to say that to meet her is very wonderful experience.

She is very nice, and thoughtful, and she has this "aura" about her -- it's like seeing a famous movie star of the 1940's!

Another example of the uniqueness we all have in some way.

Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think Paul meant to say we insulted Donna.
I think he was just making a point that we joke around a lot but she also has a serious side too that is wonderful as well.

Donna is a good sport and gives and takes it with the best of them.
She is a sweetheart and a great person. I haven't met her in person but from things she's done for me and talks online and email I can say she is a wonderful and caring person.

Besides, Paul said something about her looking like she was from the 1940's or something! He should be apologizing!!! :grin:

Oh, gosh, Steve, that never crossed my mind. I didn't have any negative reaction to anyhing here. I was just complimenting Donna, that's all.

I can't remember any kind of past "scolding"....heck, I can only remember about three of my past 1,500 posts...LOL!

I think this was just another misunderstanding/reaction from the pitfalls of posts, etc., on the net. No need to think anything negative.... and I actually have to apologize for whatever "I" said back then.
