Thanks Paul. I'm just glad it's running again. The difference between the 390 and the 428 is like night and day.

Thanks for a great month Don - getting ready to flip to another car tomorrow...

Just wondering if Father's Day is on the calendar since Mother's Day didn't make it :grin: I'll wait until tomorrow to find out ... the suspense is killing me though :icon_pani

Wow Father's Day is not there either ... at least Cinco de Mayo made it :grin:
And also Whitsunday and Whitmonday :confused:

Nice car for the month of June.
And the script on the passenger side matches mine ... very cool! :icon_ecst

Now that you have mentioned it, the script is not right, is it?? Is yours that way?? If so, how did it get that way? Through a restoration? What is the scoop??

Yes, my passenger side script is incorrectly mounted as well.
I am 4th owner of the car and I have not been able to determine why it is like that yet. The owner before me (owner #3) had no idea.
When I mentioned it to him before I bought it he said "Those are the original holes from the factory". I informed that they aren't. Of course people from this site pointed it out to me. We had thought it might have been hit in the rear, but the rear is all original from what I can determine.

The owner before me (#3) is the one that painted it Acapulco Blue from Lime Gold. (Sorry Arlie).

My assumption was it was Owner #1 or 2. Maybe there was some damage to the rear quarter or they fixed some problem and it was mounted wrong afterwards. I'm not sure but someday I'll take it apart and figure it out I'm sure.

I've tried to get some more info but getting a response has been difficult. I don't want to push too hard. I know from his son that he's pretty upset about getting rid of the car and is now regretting it and wished he hadn't sold it. So I may never know exactly what the scoop is.

Rich;
My script is the same way on my drivers side. When the body work was done to the rear quarter, they put the script on backwards. I'll fix it next time I have the car painted or need repair done to the rear quarter on that side. Don't really want to mess up the paint at this point.

That's my plan too Don. No sense in messing with it now. Someday when I redo the paint and remove the emblems that's the time to do it.
No one notices other than people from this site :wink:
