Hello all,

I'm wondering how many CS's had the delux feature and what did the delux package all included.

Best Regards,

Decor option and die casts

Stacey;
Click on the below link. It's a discussion from 2002 on the Deluxe Interior or what they called the "Interior Decor Group". Hope this helps.

Thanks Don! One other question, how many of those royal marooned die casts have Green Light ever made, they're so stuck on making so many of those white ones.

Unfortunately they only made 1100 of the Royal Maroon diecast and they are not being carried by individual diecast dealers. They are being marketed by Meijer stores here in the MidWest only. If you are out West or on the East coast they are hard to get. The white model took the place of the Royal Maroon model initially but, Greenlight later decided to put out the Royal Maroon model after the initial release of the Blue and White model. If you want and can't find one let me know and I'll try and pick one up for you here in Ohio at cost. I've seen several on ebay but, they are charging way over what Meijer is charging for them.

On 4/22/07, I bought on an EBAY BIN, a Greenlight 1968 Mustang California Special-Maroon for $39., plus $11.99 S&H, plus $1.35 insurance for a total of $53.19. I don't know if I paid too much or too little but at least I got one. It came from John Latsch (he has others) in Toledo, Ohio. PH. 419-841-6952 if this helps anyone. Bob Teets here.

Hi Bob,

I believe that's the going price for those. I just bought one on ebay as well, the exact price as you have paid. A while back when Green Light offered the maroon one for sale, I jumped on it right away and ordered it. At that time they wanted 44.95 for it and the shipping was about $10. So they're going for alittle cheeper. I got mine from the same fellow as you did. To make the long story short, Green Light canceled my order when decided to make the white ones instead. I wasn't too please about it. But this way, I did get it alittle cheeper through John Latsch. I was looking for one for quite awhile until I found it on Ebay.

Don,

I wonder why Green Light decided to do that. I finally got one through the same outfit as Bob did. When I first placed my order for one with Green Light when they first offered the maroon one, they wanted abit more it was about 44.95 if I'm not mistaken. Plus the shipping was about 10.00. They decided to go with white and canceled my order.

Greenlight's rational behind canceling the Royal Maroon model was their vendors said there was no interest in that color. That was bunch of bull. Once they realized there was a market for the Royal Maroon car they finally produced it and are marketing it through "Meijer" here in the Mid-West. Meijer's has them for 29.99 plus tax. I sent 2 of them to Paul last month.

Don,

I know I paid abit more for mine, but I happy to have one now in my possession. They really are beautifully made and with such detail. Sounds to me that Green Light should have done abit more market research on the origin of the CS. The jack pot would have been in the west, especially in California and surrounding states and the fact that color was a very popular choice. The one I bought came from Toledo, Ohio.

There are other diecast vendors selling the GT/CS but, not the "Royal Maroon" car. The White, Acapulco Blue, Candy Apple Red, Black Chrome are all being offered through various dealers. The Royal Maroon car can only be found at Meijers. I even told Greenlight that color would sell. What do I know, it's only my car. The important thing is the model is now done and out for the public to see and admire. You should see the reaction I get at show's displaying the diecast on my air cleaner. Folks are amazed when they read the letter I got from Greenlight stating it was my car that the model was made from. It's actually a lot of fun because it gives me the chance to talk about the CS's history.

That's REALLY NEAT!!! It's so much fun in talking about the history of the CS. Do you have any clue when Paul N may get his book done? It feels like an eternity, but I can understand how info about this CS's keep coming in. To display the diecast along with the letter from Green Light is something to be proud of.
