Most replacement front springs I've seen are rated at 620#. Does anyone know the rating of the original springs? Are they 480#?

Arlie, I ordered 620's for our car but I found that they rode harsher then I liked.

I then ordered the stock rated springs from Eaton Spring Inc. and for me, I like them.

I knew the spring rating at the time but I can't remember now. My memorary's good but it is short. The part number for the springs is MUC1270 and you can check on the Eatonsprings.com site for information or you can contact Mike at mike@eatonsprings.com. I found Mike to be very helpful when I spoke with him.

I hope this helps,

Dave

Arlie,

I don't recall the spec's exactly, but I think the 620# was for early Shelbys and competition Shelbys, 480# was for GT or Heavy Duty Suspension, and then there was another value for a Standard Suspension, which people complained was a little too soft ... most people are satisfied with the GT Suspension rated springs ... I think Mustangs Plus can probably help you out ...
