Three candles on the cake? Does each one represent 25 years? Seriously I hope that I'm still restoring cars and having fun doing what I love when I'm your age. :)

Happy that you had a great day Neil!

Cheers,

Ron

what the BLEEP??? who has 5 Cs lying around their yard??

...I had six, but now I have four. The day Neil, Rob and many others were here (for Cory's book party) I think we we had around 8 or 9 total... There was another local gathering that saw close to 30 GT/CSs a couple of years before. They're not all that scarce in these parts... ;-)

Gt/cs bbq 2007

How many do you want? And what color? This was taken by Midnight Special above my house in 2007. we held a BBQ for GT/CS and HCS owners. Largest collection of 1968 GT/CS / HCSs since the factory in 1968. Lots of fun times. Hope to do this again sometime. Those who were there remember.

Wow, what a great memory I have of that weekend. The first time I met so many of our clan face to face.

Up here in Canada, you don't often see a GT/CS. At our summer car show a couple of years back we had three Candy Apple Red GT/CS parked together. There were also two clones at that show. It was fun watching people doing double and triple takes as they checked out the triplets.

Neil,
Were you one of the folks who ended up stranged in Watts?

Neil was with us during the Watts incident. However that was a different weekend from the one mentioned above.

If I remember correctly, I think Neil and Bob took the scenic route to Galpin after they left Watts.

That's right. It was the Galpin event. A completely different part of California!

THAT was also a memorable excursion- the L.A. freeway in Bob Teets' 428 HCS. And we got lost to boot! (Never a dull moment in California)

Happy (belated) birthday Neil!!

Maybe we can all get together again for a 50th GT/CS party (2006 and 2007 were a lot of fun up at Mike's place).
