if you get the V.I.N., kevin marti can stamp you out a new door tag relatively inexpensively.

my fingers are crossed it has a S in the VIN, if no S then pass.

A pair of "R"s beat an "S" any day.

I always like to look at something that MIGHT happen. A double R find would be a find of a lifetime.

PS
If there is a S or double R in the VIN contact me privately. ;D

You guys are funny!

S or RR...alright! I doubt that it is anything that "special" not that I know what they are I only have a 289 in my '67, however I'm assuming that those are something great like a CJ or something but I will let you all know.

I'm leaning toward passing on this car only because there is NOTHING in it. Talk about just a shell...EGG SHELL!

lol
Happy 4th to all Americans (and others that appreciate this country)!

Does anyone know if all CS's are GT's? I guess not because I thought somewhere I read of a 6 cyl. CS.

The "GT" in GT/CS was for marketing purposes only. It was possible to order a GT GT/CS but very few people went that route.

Talking about the letter under the engine code. S is for 390, R is for 428. All GT/CSs have an R as the 2nd digit of the VIN so they all have one R, thus the RR for a 428 CJ GT/CS.

Mikstang,
The S code is a 390 and the R R code would be a Highland green car with a 428 Cobra Jet. My GT/CS is a T code which is a 200 6 cylinder. It has a 289 in it now.

Thanks Rhonda, I forgot that Highland Green is also an R. So the perfect GT/CS would be a triple R! ;D

Oh yeah Moses you are right. But the second R does`nt mean its a GT/CS it just means it was made in San Jose. Rhonda
