The smog pump, and all the other parts are long gone, except for the bracket that attaches the pump to the engine.

From what I can tell the only options on the car are the 4-speed, and a tach. The tach no longer works and has been bypassed. The bypass may be the thing hanging off the driver shock tower brace.

The engine is original and has been rebuilt. It needs to have the vacuum lines sorted because one of the lines to the tree is not connected to anything. The engine certainly is not a powerhouse but the vacuum line issue could be part of that problem.

The transmission and rear end both seem to work fine, with no unusual noises.

There are noises coming from both upper control arms, though. Looks of squeaking!

The body and underside are completely rust free. The only damage I found under the car is a bent passenger bumper-frame support.

The grille is perfect, and the foglights are England originals but are on Shelby pedestals.

The car may be running the original resonators as mufflers.

The engine compartment is painted flat black.

The car was painted around 8 years ago but is now full of door dings, and there is a small crease in the passenger quarter. It looks like motorcycle handlebar height. Other paint issues are: the stripes were poorly installed, overspray on the shackles and the door light switches, the hood has rain spots on it, and overspray on the trunk lock.

The interior is old but clean. The headliner is fine. The seat bottoms need padding, all the gauges work except the tach, the carpet is in good condition, the kick panels are cracked, the armrests and seatbelts are black instead of aqua.

This is this a fantastic car at the right price. The owner is asking over $30K. I told her brother (who is showing the car for her) that under $20K is more realistic. As you can imagine that did not sit well with him!

If anyone wants more information please shoot me a PM or post here.

Thanks

Those "mufflers" look to be Cherry Bomb mufflers. Very loud and the hot ticket way back when.....
