Yes. I believe it improves stability. The Export Brace & Monte Carlo improve structural integrity.

Yes well, you know what its like to "pull a thread".....kinda doesn't end. I'll keep going as long as my piggie bank supports it...

It was a looong drive but totally worth it. I love that it is getting the kind of attention to it that I could never afford it--due to not having a garage. I would be more adventuresome in tackling more things if i had a garage for over the winter months...I've tackled a few things in the past and it has proven very rewarding upon completion but I haven't the space to try more...or the confidence.

Re-doing Stephen's C/S air conditioning. The old system was kaput. I gathered a new plenum, new heater core, new evaporator, seals, and vacuum switch. There's no way the old original system could have worked. It also has a new rotary compressor, expansion valve, condensor, drier, and freon hoses.

Very cool (pardon the pun)...compressor didn't come in black?
So, obviously a lot of new parts under the hood....I never did notice that the oil cap/vent is new!!

I have not touched the red CS yet. The black CS is 99% done at the paint shop. (Its only been a YEAR:sad:)
Stephen's CS has taken a lot of time & work.
I also have a '68 convertible to re-do the electrical & interior.
I'm building a 30 X 40 shop in my back yard, as my 20 year airport contract terminates in September, so I need a new 'playroom'.
(I'm going to re-retire and play with Mustangs.)
Marty asked if I'd have one done for the 50th anniversary. Not likely.
Peggy & I just returned from Florida- we attend the Sun-N-Fun airshow/exposition every year. (Rained 4 out of 7 days this trip)
Here's my current herd of 'Honey-do's and photo of my new playpen.

Final A/C servicing, and wouldn't you know- a freon leak on a brand new hose. The green highlighted spot is visible using a black light. Classic Air will make it right, but still...
