1968 Is this a bad sign for the California Special or the Economy?

I was following an e bay auction for a nice 1968 GT/CS S-code 4 speed car that just ended today and the car besides not meeting reserve did not even reach the 20k. There was a lot of bidders(over 30 bids) but no sale. It really cannot get much better than a 4 speed big block GT/CS and that was somehow disappointing. Is this a bad sign for the beloved GT/CS prices or is it the present economic situation that affected this sale? What do you guys/gals think?

i don't think they lose value, just no one has the money to buy them. the old supply and demand senario.

I saw a local white '07 GT/CS for $22K. Dealers are struggling to sell the new cars, so now is the time if anyone wants one. '09 CS for $27K. Guy in my club bought a redfire '07 CS for $17K last month.

I like how the '68 cars are worth $ after all this time.

Ebay=bargains. Look around and nobody is paying top dollar for anything at ebay.

I buy at ebay for a deal only. That white 390 4 speed car was nice. There are some real nice Torino's I would love to have out of a collection, they get about 80% and never meet reserve.

The white 390 on Ebay did`nt look original, the rear quarter panels and vin number don`t match up to the same time of the production year. The guy needed much better pictures too.
