Looking for a couple of rubber straps for the Lucas fog light covers.

I've never seen them for sale. I always wondered if one could make them out of an old inner tube or similar rubber sheeting.

I've never seen them for sale. I always wondered if one could make them out of an old inner tube or similar rubber sheeting.

I tried this exact thing, but the inner tube rubber is not rigid enough to keep from pulling through the keepers on the covers after tightening around the light.
