Tim if you decide to pull the trigger on another family gathering it would be great if it were before or after the Golden Gate MCA National show June 22-24 in Concord CA. We were thinking of trailering our HCS out for it's first national show. I would be great to see everyone while we are there. Not sure if that date falls into your air show season or not. Marty

Marty, As things go, I would be all for pulling something together to fit your schedule out west! Concord is only two hours away and we're easily in your path (off I'80).

Another family reunion and Mustang Symposium would be fabulous! 'Could even evolve into "something special" like the parties Mike hosted a few years ago. Let's do it! :)

If anyone east of the Mississippi is invited- count me in!!
Some of my most fun trips were to Grass Valley, first to Mike & Robinet's and then to Tim's for the book signing. That was a very nice motel, only a mile or so from Tim's. I flew from Atlanta to Sacramento, rented a car and drove to Grass Valley.
Now that Peggy has been indoctrinated to the C/S-HCS crowd (SEA last year), I'm sure I could coerce her into coming with me.

Sounds like fun Tim!!! Count me in to help with the planning. And I promise, this time I will stay away from your barbeque :embarass:

LOL, Good Times!

...The best!

TJ and I are already getting prepared. We'll also be moving the BBQ away from the house and closer to the firetruck. Though hazardous, Renee's cooking is still the best around :)

My tired CS should be on the road again by spring... Maybe I can talk the husband into a road trip south.

The gathering sounds like another great event. Karen and I would love to make the road trip again when it happens. Marty, you are correct about TJ, in fact I have his business card I will try to post.

I'm thinking about making the trip down myself to the Golden Gate MCA show. I'm having my GT/CS painted this winter, so it should be fresh and ready to show. I'm getting the whole car repainted earlier than planned due to the fire under the hood in August. I was going to wait one more year, but since the Hagarty Insurance paid for the damage, I figured why not. It will still be Acapulco Blue. While I'm at it I'm having the radiator redone also, a lot of the vanes on the current one are bent, so it should run cooler also - not that it ever got real hot, just thought it would be a good time to have it done. I haven't figured out my dates of travel yet, I'll be traveling with another couple who are planning to attend the show also. Hope to see a few of the GT/CSs down there.

I'm interested if there's another get-together. I'll bring my voltmeter and coveralls this time.

If time allows I'm thinking to trailer S down. But THIS TIME she'll be taken out of California in a nice covered trailer instead of being forced out!

Can I bring an infant?

Neil, Peggy is part of our CS gang as initiated in Seattle. And maybe Renee can provide all of us girls with a flower for our hair. Renee? Do you have a "little missie" size flower?

I'll bring my sterile supplies and silvadene cream. I am, after all, the burn expert!!

...This is getting exciting! A gathering here, a special gathering at the MCA Show or both! If Papa Neil comes, I'll be sure to have a CS ready for him to take to Concord... Steve too! Amy, you may bring your infant, but I hear there are no guarantees you may leave with him (her;-) ...

Rob, the '70 vert is an awesome running 351C 4v that TJ recently detailed for an owner who is selling to pay for a surgery. If it were a fastback, I would've already included it in my stable.

Let's keep in touch regarding the show. All of your ideas expressly welcome! :)

I'm thinking Kevlar under the suit might be a good idea right about now. :icon_pani
