Hey there guys...
Time to swap the mufflers on the CS (they are falling apart). Read all the threads and leaning towards Flowmaster 40 Delta or possible 50 series for reduced noise.
Per the forum Im seeing pipe size should be 2.25-2.5 inch (and some going big at 3inch you know who you are!) but Flowmaster website has it at 2 inch stock for 68 Mustang. Is this right? Im not near my car to measure.
The part# on website varies on intake/outake size and I hear you can error on a larger inch intake/outake as exhaust pipe can be spread to fit? My friend has 40's with 2.25 inch intake/outake with only 1000 miles I may pickup. Any issues?
Also will need to swap headers in the future (current ceramics are nudging p/s control valve) so should I be looking at replacing the whole exhaust system in one shot? Whats cost for this and caveats?
Thanks for any help!
Robert
