There were 3 1968 Mustang GT/CSs at the show today. All 3 won an award. Congratulations Mike & Robinette (SomethingSpecial), Marion (CalifGirl), and Sheryl. I didn't enter my car but I was there with some great company. It was good to see Donna (DieselDonna), Scott (CougarCJ), and even Shaun (GTBandit) there. Shaun was there all the way from Australia. A good time was had by all!

Congratulations to all!

Great pics and nice looking trophies!!

You all look like you're sitting at a concert. Was that the awards ceremony or were you watching the submarine races?

A Great time

was had by all. It dumped rain in SoCal on Friday and Saturday. We were concerned about the weather when we put the car in place Sat. night. As it turns out, Sunday was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. Over 350 Mustangs were there, from 64 1/2 to everything new.

Shaun from Oz showed up and met most of us. What a great guy. It was a real pleasure meeting you Shaun.

Donna and Joe suprised me and Robinette with a BEAUTIFUL set of Suburban Ford license plate frames. THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH guys. (They are exactly like the original one that survived on the car).

Marion had her car out there and was looking great. (Thanks for the Hat Pin).

During the awards ceremony, I went back to the car to get some chairs, and saw several flyers that were thrown in the car, and spotted something on the floor console. I immediately recognized it, and almost jumped with glee, but I was in shock. Someone (I know you are on this site, but forgive me for forgetting you name) had placed the ORIGINAL DOOR DATA PLATE on the console. It was lost years ago at CROOK BROS. Auto body in Downey. It was found and returned to the car. THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH. I'm sorry I didn't get to meet you in person.

Monday, Bob McClurg did the photo shoot of the car to finish the article "PROJECT SOMETHING SPECIAL" which was started in Mustang Illustrated 12 years ago. Look for it in "Muscle Car Review".

We left Long Beach at 3:15 and made it to Sylmar and broke down. Luckily It was just an alternator and we found a PepBoys and changed it out. We had won a small tool kit in the raffle, and boy did it come in handy.

Thank you everyone who came out and cheered us all on. Mike and Robinette Jewell.
