Pick it up tomorrow, so excited!!! What would have been a good price for this? Just curious to see if I paid a fair amount. 289 3-Speed Automatic, no rust.

Ahainline: Congratulations on your new toy. What a beautiful car! As far as a price figure, it would depend on the condition of the car, which looks great by the way. Was it restored? What other options do you have (upper console, lower console, etc.)? Give us a few more clues and maybe some of us can play this game:grin: .

It's worth what you paid for it, maybe a little more. Judging by your excitement, you got a good deal. It's a nice car. Looks like calender material for next year!

it doesnt have a lot option wise. power steering, power brakes, and A/C.. about it I think. It was restored 10 years ago but is stil n wonderful condition. Maybe a few paint chips but nothing bad at all. Not original color, was Brittany Blue with Blue interior. I will probably change it back eventually though. Interior is perfect from what I could tell also.

thanks for all the welcomes and compliments on the car.. where do you guys buy all your parts etc for your GT/CS's? it doesnt really need anything but there are a couple things that I want to change to make it appear more original, example being the steering wheel.

Interior is black, found it in Indiana. I am from Columbus, OH...but I will say this.. dont try and drive a "barn" car 250mi in one trip when it has only been driven 500 miles in 10 years. Last night was NOT pretty. I left Indiana at 10pm and didnt get home until 3am. Car wouldnt stop overheating. So I would have to stop every 20-30 miles and let it cool down and replenish the fluids. Guessing it is just a thermostat issue but I wont know til this weekend when I can get my hand dirty with it. Even though I am tired, I am still happy with it.

Congrats! That looks pretty much amazing. Where did you find it in Indiana. I'm from Northern Indiana, but currently in school in central Indiana. I know what you mean about driving "barn" finds back... I bought a 66 fastback that was a weekend car, but wasn't driven for 5 years. I drove it 2 hours east. It held up, but I'm pretty sure I made it back by the grace of God. lol. :)

Yea it wasnt a complete barn find or anything but it might as well have been as little as it was supposedly driven. I found it in Greenfield, IN.. just East of Indianapolis. It is a wonderful car, just wasnt the way I wanted to spend 5 hours that I could have been sleeping. She got me home though, all that matters in the end :)

Gorgeous car!.....boy can I ever tell you a story about driving a "barn car" home. I went from New York to California and I can tell you that it was a waste of time and my money to have the car gone over by this particualr mechanic about three weeks before I flew back to get it. I don't think he had worked on a car older than ten years old in his life. That's because cars don't last much longer than that in NY winter weather!
Not only that...the parts on this car are commercial (truck chassis, alternator etc.)
Found that out the hard way.
At least your overheating problem is hopefully just the thermostat...what I call the "$5 dollar parts". Did you get it figured out yet?
Well it's a beautiful ride my friend!

thanks! I would have wanted to kill myself if I had to drive that car from coast to coast. I was stopping every 20 minutes to let it cool down. So it would have taken me a month to drive accross the country. I am hoping for the 5 dollar part problem lol.. as of right now I dont know what the issue is. I just got done moving so I dont have any tools at my new home to work on it. So the troubleshooting is on hold until this Saturday. Have my fingers crossed though.
