Neil,

Here is the grill that I have. Sorry it took so long to get it out of my attic.

Spent the last couple days reworking, repairing, lubricating all the window mechanisms. They're all happy now.
BUT: The rear quarter window frames are UGLY. Repos are $400+ each. Has anyone had them rechromed? If so, what's ballpark cost?
Or- anyone got decent driver quality quarter windows they can part with?
I simply cannot keep crusty chrome with a fresh paint job. (The jury's still out: Black or Sunlit Gold paint.) Either case deserves decent chrome.
Will also be checking E-Bay.

Black with gold stripes would be my choice. Didn't Tim have one painted like that?

Black with gold would be a nod to the Hertz Shelby Mustangs.

Black with red stripe and red interior is very stunning.

If we're voting...

Black with gold stripes, Shelby wheels... and a 5-speed manual

And, if a CA car, get original or repo, circa 1968, black tags with gold lettering to match...

Do you mean the pop rivets that secure the 2 brackets?
IIRC, just drill them out and replace them with pop rivets.
Mike Jewell (Somethingspecial) can steer you onto the correct rivets.

Yes! I have some new rivets of the old style but don't know how to install them. I thought maybe you did them that way, until I noticed you didn't.
