CODE 3 run.

Sounds good to me. I love going code 3. One time we had about 10 cars going code 3 down S/R 49 for 20 miles to a rape in progress, County Sheriffs, CHP, Grass Valley PD, It was dusk, and very impressive. Would you believe some people couldn't see the lights and never Yielded. Some people should not have a drivers license. That ambulance should be big enough to pull a car trailer. That would be an interesting combo. Well, maybe next time. For now, Your GT/CS will have to do. Mike

Oh it's absolutely big enough to tow with..just don't know how to put a reciever on it...it's got a lot of stuff on the back below the door. a big step thing. Anyhow I don't think you have enough room for that car too! It's 21 feet long and almost 8 feet tall including beacon lights. Oh yes I can believe that drivers' are unaware of your presence! I accidently had my wig wags on in the grill and nobody paid me any mind! That thing lights up the night when I turn everything on.

Sounds good Joe. I'm thinking that to accomodate Bay Area folks and So Cal folks, we can meet at either my place near I-205 and I-5. Or at a freeway exit somewhere. I've PM'd you my cell. We'll figure something out... It's about a 2 hour drive up there from Tracy.

A good time had by all!!!!

The party was a blast, All my photos were on 35mm, so I have to wait to post pictures. We had 18 GT/CS cars, three Mach 1s, and one Cobra. 52 fine folks attended, and the event went off without a hitch. The cook did a wonderful job on the BBQ, NO, it wasn't me. I'll let other folks tell their stories. Mike.

Oh I can't believe I didn't have an extinguisher with me, I have one and a first aid kit in all my other cars! I stopped right away and bought a fire extinguisher and the clerk asked me if I wanted it in a bag..I said Noooo, I might be needing it again right away.

Then Tim gave me the neatest extinguisher that you can actually spray on yourself in the event that you need to reach into your burning car and grab your pedal car in the back seat! He also gave me a set of plug wires for when yours happen to melt... and his AAA card (just kidding). :grin:

Donna,

I am pleased to hear you got the fire out. I had the same thing happen to me about 1984. I was lucky and not too much damage was done before I got it out...But I do remember people yelling at me to get away from the burning car.....What were they crazy? It was my car burning, no way was I gonna let it burn with out at least trying...

You got THAT right!! Oh did I mention that on the same date two years ago (Aug. 18) My beautiful restored El Camino had an engine fire? From the cab forward was burned to a crisp. I was in the middle of that whole thing...tires were already melted and it took me 20 minutes to drag the fully engulfed car away from the house with my F350.

~~~~Never getting out of bed on Aug. 18 again.:icon_no:
