Rubber on the floor is from my wife's 1967 Fastback. It has P295 50R 15 Firestone Firehawks on it. She has 10 inch wheels and radiused wheel wells. Mine are only 8 inch wide and hers will not fit in my fenders.

Marks with mine soon!!!

Time for those fall months again!!! I have started some projects already. If you want a tutorial of all the mistakes one can make installing a Modern Driveline hydraulic clutch system I am you man. After lots of fun I finally got it working! Works very good now and all the under dash stuff was.... well best it was tiring for the old bones even with the seat out!

I got the pleasure of a little fine tuning on Tim's GT/CS that he sold to Sandra and Crofton who live in Everett Washington. It absolutely purrs like a kitten and is well kept in its garage, but does see some rainy streets from time to time. Tim they are absolutely taking great care of her and Crofton is one respectful and careful young man. Kinda reminds me of a nice young man named T.J.

They are planning a power disc upgrade that may find it in my shop again. Done a few of these and it is a nice option. Drove the car with the old manual drums.... They do require a bit of pedal effort, but stop in a perfect straight line and easily can lock the tires.

Next up is my brothers T-Bird Supercoupe with numerous power add ons. Full clutch job with a new fly wheel. It has headers, upsized mass air and fuel injectors and fuel pump. Upsized blower and ported intake. Freakin thing is a gentleman's rocket ship!! Amazing power!!

Hopefully Croton's car in November and then I have a 68 Fastback for a full engine rebuild. Clutch replacement and small parts kit in the 4 speed. I will send mo pics.

What are your projects this winter?

...Thanks for the amazing update, Rob. I will always remember the day Sandra and Krofton flew into town and began that huge (leap o'faith) journey to Washington on the same evening! We'll also never forget my first "white knuckle" ride when I tossed him the keys on the way home from the airport!! Seeing my former "Cranberry" in your care is more than a fitting end to a great story :)

TJ is going gangbusters with his new business to the degree he also wants a "degree"...planning to attend college while working his shop during busy summers with a partner. He sold all of his Mustangs and is back in a nice V8 Beamer for the duration and his many travels these days...

As for my winter projects - a generous and genuine, Ron Moore "clubpro" was just here tonight, dropping off a like-new toploader to upgrade the older T-10 in my black CS (or rather "his"...)! Thanks Ron!! :)

This is my Winter project. I do not intend on restoring it just making it safe and dependable so we can drive it. I wish I had Rob's garage! Marty

Marty,
The hardest part for you will be resisting the urge to "clean" something up! I remember a few years ago I bought a car to be a driver. My uncle stopped by while I was doing a brake job and then started encouraging me to remove the disc brake dust shield and blast and refinish it. It was a big show; I told him no because the dust shield was attached to the spindles and tie rods and...

Have fun with the Shelby for a few years before biting off on a full restoration!

More fun this winter. Customer 1968 J-code 4-speed Fastback gets a fresh bullet and rebuilt toploader. This must be my 20th toploader build. Nearly can do them in my sleep. .020 over and balanced at a Tacoma machine shop. Good people.

Anyway it will go in next weekend and I will start er up! so much fun spending other peoples money!! Can anyone see the anomaly in the side shot?

Rob.

Painted sport mirrors?

Can you post some pics of how they are mounted? Or PM me and I can get you an email address?

Been looking at this for the next project, the EXP, and in looking at the pair I have it is going to take some work to get them to fit... photos of those may be helpful.

The stripes should end on the hood, the wide grill molding should have argent paint and the grill is not painted correctly.

More pics on the 1968 J Code Fastback.

New one on me. VIN number on the left upper ear. Is this normal for 1968?

Same VIN number on back of block in normal area
