Went to a car show this weekend and thought I'd share these pics with you all. He won best in his class. Hope he is a member here and can share in his victory also. Never got to meet him as it was a big show.

Congrats JBART, one of these years I have got to get out and at least go to the show even if I don't bring my car. I forget all about it, I think it's because we are always 2-3 weeks behind in snow melt and weather patterns and it just doesn't dawn on me that it's car show time.

No trophies for either Bill or I but it was a good show.

Jason showed up with his aqua 390 GT/CS but wasn't entered in the show. He was parked in the regular lot. Around noon a Ford GT and a Lamborghini went screaming down the frontage road. I wonder who that may have been???

The show had a lot of interesting Mustangs & Fords. There was an original 70 Boss 302 Trans-Am racer, a Mercury S55, a Boss 429, a '65 Shelby racer. a '68 R-code coupe, a '67 Playboy Pink convertible, and on and on.

Not sure if this happened to Bill but at least 3 times people said to me, "Hey, did you see those 2 California Specials drive in together?!!!"

With all the Shelbys, Cobras, and other great cars there the cars they wanted to talk about were the 2 California Specials. In my opinion that's the best trophy.

was fun to drop by the show and see you guys. Were we that loud when we left? ;)

No worries on winning a award as a buddy of mine had a PERFECT 68 390 fastback that won a division at the Autorama and is a recent nut and bolt resto did not get an award. In his class there were 7+ cars that they made into 2 classes. He looked at his judging sheet and had 1 point taken off which means the other 6 cars that won were "perfect". riiiiight.

Was good show and a great turnout.

Yeah, there seemed to be a very strong good-ole-boy network involved in that show. Way too political for me!

Good idea.

class winner

My hubby and I took home a class winner award from the 45th Anniversary show for our 2007 GT/CS. What a memory to have.
Love this show, and very glad we drove the 15 hours to get there. Lots of beautiful Mustangs, and fun with friends.

1st Place At Rhinebeck

My CS got its first 1st place award at the Rhinebeck show this weekend.

I was totally shocked. There were about 10-11 cars in the 67-73 class.
I did not expect an award at all let alone a first place one.
The judges told me that 5 points separated the top 4 cars so it was close.

I think I get to park in the Winner's Circle for the weekend next year so that's a little perk too.

Car show season is finally in full swing here in the NY area.

I posted the pics in another thread but here is the link again
