I have a gt/cs, it was bought used back in 1972 by my dad and was given to my syster. I do not think anyone back then would bother passing off an average 68 for a gtcs only after 4 years. I bought it from my sister when I was 21 for $2,000.00 and that was over 20 years ago! If your car is original, it can only be a coup. There were never any soft tops or vinyl tops available. My
Cal Spec. has a flip lid gas cap, fiberglass trunk and fiberglass panels around the rear tail lights, side scoops with metal screens
screwed in and double seat belts for both passenger and driver.
one set is over the side windows and held in with velcro. It has small little twist type hood locks and a black grill with no pony emblem. I wish it had this because the front seems to plain with only those square type fog lamps. It has the original Philco am radio in it "that still works great today!" It still has the original black and yellow plates and probably every reg tag piled up on the back plate since. day one. I still have the original sales receipt from the first owner and also the original manual. The manual seems the same as any other 68 Mustang. Anyways these are a few things I see different in my car then any other 68. I hope this helps.
