Real Test For GT/CS

Well folks guess I'll find out on Saturday just how good my car is. I'm headed to a show here in Ohio that features over 1500 cars. I've been waiting for this one. They give out trophy's for the top 175 cars. I'm covered with grease and dirt but, you know what it feels good. Heck, I even installed an electronic ignition system in the car and boy does it make a difference.

For Hook; Thanks for your comments here on the board. I think I finally realized tonight what it means to really be able to work on your car and not look at it as $$$$$ signs. I even had the neighbors helping me get her ready My favorite saying - "I'll bring the beer" well, there was plenty of that to. Man did we have a good time. Several of the folks wanted to still party - BED TIME for me. Have to be there by 7 am to get a good spot. Street cruising the hole shabang.

I'll be up most of the night - can't sleep.

And a good luck from me as well, wish I was close enough to help you polish off the beer...I mean polish up the CS. One of these days I'll realize I can't have 10 different hobbies occupying my time and friends from all over the country that I spend the summer entertaining on the river or at the sands or where ever and put my focus on my car so I can polish it up and go show it off. Then again maybe not, I'm having way to much fun.

Good luck Don. I have also come to realize that I enjoy talking to people about this rare car more than worrying about a trophy. I used to worry so much about trophies on my 66 convertible (and have a few), but the cal special is so different - I just love talking about it - trophy on it is not so important to me.

Remember - developed by Shelby and built by Ford - and more rare than a Shelby. Casey
