I will be moving up to Oregon sometime in early March.

A job offer has come through at a company called West Coast Classic Cougars.

http://www.cougarpartscatalog.com/

My position will include many things. Catalog listings, research, eBay sales, purchasing and vendor compliance, and I will be managing the wrecking yard.
I think that this is going to be a very good fit for me.

Look for the location in my profile to be changing soon, likely it will say Salem, Keizer, or Silverton.

I look forward to seeing the local Oregon GT/CS's.

Scott,
Congradulations on the job opportunity. Will you move all of your cars up to the wonderful state of Oregon with you? I know that the company will only be better with your vast knowledge and appreciation of these cars. Let us all know if you need any help along the way.

What a great job opportunity!! I used to look at classic Cougars before I got my Mustangs, but could never find just the right one.

Thanks Ralph, I will be bringing all three cars, two cats and a pinball machine.

Plus the regular household junk.

I have been doing occasional side work on that catalog for a couple of years now. Most all of the used engine underhood components, brakes, and suspension components are my handywork.

What side of the state are you going to be on? The wet or the dry?

Wet.

Marion county - Most likely NE Salem, Keizer, maybe as far away as Silverton.

The shop is located in Brooks, which is off of mile marker 263 on the I-5.

I just ordered from them... a shifter indicator for a console 68... seems like a good place. Very fast shipping.

Congratulations Scott! I know you were kind of talking about it at the family gathering. I'm glad it worked out. With your knowledge, you'll really be able to help them out. It's good to know I'll have an inside source when I get ready to start on my '70 Cougar. So does this mean we'll get to meet up at the Portland swap meet in April?

Thanks Steve, we'll definitely have to meet up at the Portland swap meet. I went up there two years ago on vacation and helped out during the swap meet.
Too bad that it rains during that time of year. We got soaked two days in a row.

It's Portland. It rains at all times of the year. It's why they're called the Oregon Ducks. I always plan on hitting the inside vendors on rain days and the outside on non-rain days, if one occurs.
