Trying to remove the wiper motor. Is there a trick to it?

What would be the ideal thing to do with it once I remove it? Is there somewhere I can send it to make sure it's working correctly? Or replace it?

Why are you removing it? Malfunction? Inoperative?
(I've not experienced a faulty W/S wiper motor in Mustangs in 40 years.)

I gave up on it and reconnected the nuts and bolts
