BF42C, C = copper core. BSF42C S= Suppressor, supposedly less radio frequency interference. Replacements for a BF42 in function and use. As noted the 45 is a Autolite replacement for the Motorcraft 42... Autolite can't reuse the Motorcraft numbers, same plug, different OEM ...

For Sale Red GT/CS in Pennsylvania

I wish my "disaster" looked as good. After reading this and viewing the ad I had to double check that it was the same car. Overall looks to me to be in very good shape. Overpriced.. but hey what used car dealer is known for low prices? And a few errors in the restore, but nothing major...

You could also look at cutting the bezel to suit, assuming it can fit. As you have a functioning 8 track... finding a donor bezel would be far cheaper than the correct unit. This is a similar modified bezel I have...

    . Marti Report Info

Marti notes: so not much help there... Some good info on the meaning of many report items here: http://www.martiauto.com/faqfocus.cfm?qid=104 As a "Home Office" DSO someone in Ford wanted it for some reason, possible a senior persons special internal order or a demo/promo vehicle for some...

    1968 Disc/Drum brake proportioning valve

The valve was incorporated into the distribution block as shown here: If you have the OEM setup shown, no need for a second. If you are running an after market distribution block it depends on what type as some have built in proportioning and some do not.

    . C4 transmission pan sealing

Usually it is the pan lip, over-torqued in the past and the lip is deformed. Odd it would happen on a new one. If the case flange is not fully clean and scraped it may be a cause. Pull it, gently hammer the lip flat if distorted and it should seal. I use a small piece of flat steel bar as a...

    1968 Serial numbers?

No, the Ford database has production info and dates for each car off the line. It may already be known. Or one could ask for a statistical report from Kevin Marti (owner of the data) and find out the first and last off the line. (But I think he recently stopped doing them, or had very long...

    1968 Serial numbers?

The Ford database exists, unsure if anyone has ever collated every individual serial number. Believe over 2000 are documented in the GTCS registry book. And the general build date/number ranges are known as they were built in batches. So, no. They were not randomly built thru the entire...
