    1968 Deluixe Door Pull Straps

Have all the bits but speakers, assuming I can find something that fits in after market. I have not looked at it, but figured by putting the speaker/lens to the grille, scribing a template off that, then locating the grille on the door, mark the outline, then from the grille speaker/lens...

    1968 Tail panel screw caps/protectors

Hard to say from a photo on the web. But would it be similar to the light blue for the 65 or 66 grilles?

    1968 1968 mustang dash pad

Threw out the entire pad....!!!! Its an easy fix... I use two of the lower rear valence "tabbed" studs, carve out a good solid bonding surface area, and sikaflex them in place... so far so good on two done that way...

    1968 Tail panel screw caps/protectors

Did all of the screws for the lamp protector/shields (the 6 "buckets", 2 large 4 small, that screw to the tail panel and cover the socket end of the taillights) that stick into the trunk get the little grey screw on caps? And for the "cardboard" covers the Branda repros are black. I have seen...

    1968 1968 mustang dash pad

"Best". NOS. OEM and most reproduction look completely different. The Dashes Direst fit well, but the feel and grain are way off. As well as the shine of the finish. For cost DD is the only option (I don't think there are multiple manufacturers, but may be wrong). A DD dyed...

    1968 Deluixe Door Pull Straps

Why can't one use the deluxe lower grille as a template? Put in against the door, mark out the outline. Work from that to the outline of the light/speaker and then cut...???

1968 Debated it a lot, but glad I did it....

it is a matte black, very low gloss, but not full flat. I'd have to ask my painter. We taped just below the holes for the cowl seal horizontally and then just oversprayed thru the gap... that way the stripe end at the cowl seal and don't go all over the cowl lip. Not "correct" but the look I...

    1968 Deluxe seatback bars

I have seen the 4+ range over the years as well... I would think as a manually added thing there was a recommended distance, and then what the trim line actually did...

    1968 Tilt Steering Column swap

The door pin, in conjunction with the ignition off, tilts the wheel away when you open the door. Believe there are some differences in the '67 vs '68-'69 setups, but the basic function is similar...

    1968 Tilt Steering Column swap

+1 on finding an original. I priced up Ididits, they ran $400-500 and for a pretty similar price I found a nice OEM... had to take it all apart and adjust, a bit tricky but an interesting project.

1968 Debated it a lot, but glad I did it....

Nice... On the trunk, no I think that looks like "trying too hard" and never liked the look. IMHO over the roof of a coupe look even worse... (I thought about white stripes on the vinyl roof *) As this was a factory option, but not done on my car, I made the compromise as with the...

1968 Deck lid rubber strips Need a source!

I found some here in Oz at a local rubber shop. Simple grey neoprene adhesive backed foam strip. The size was not exact but was so close as to be indistingushable from the one original I had on the car.... I looked for some spare, but could not find it to take some pics. It was 20mm wide vs...

1968 Side stripe install... what a PITA....

Murf... thanks for that. Can you post a pic of your scoops, I used 3 1/8" but from the top of the scoop, did not use the body line there but will check it, should be close to your 4".... but also used the body line as my level, as you note.
