    1968 68/69 tilt steering column

For a complete system with all the parts that is not really that bad. You "may" find one cheaper, but from the ones I've seen recently $500 for the column alone is market price and all the add-ons add up. Not making any more!

1968 Removing paint from center caps?

67's had black GT lettering....but only on the gas cap as they did not use the dog dish hubcaps w/emblems. And the fingernail polish idea is brilliant!

1968 Removing paint from center caps?

... and on the tape, they are known to rattle so probably some "padding" to keep them snug.

1968 Removing paint from center caps?

Guess it depends on the type of paint. I've had good luck with caustic soda on a lot of parts, but with metal parts you have to beware of rust. Standard paint stripper shuld work, and if applied carefully should not damage the rest. I've tried painting these a few times and its always a...

1968 STOLEN my S code CS has been stolen please be on the look out STOLEN

If an 8 out of 10 (which IMHO means basically an older show car, no visible flaws, and everything works and looks near new) 16 sounds low. IIRC there was a S here a while back that sold for 18-20k needing a lot of work as it was an older driver with some damage.

1968 Vacuum Canister for A/C + Tilt Steering

I'm thinking as long as its that far forward of looking into a bracket on the rad support and hanging it there. Keeps it out of the wheel well and away from road debris.... .... and thanks for the kind words.

1968 Vacuum Canister for A/C + Tilt Steering

"Useless"... hmmm.... kinda harsh. I have a copy and while it does not show the specifics of the '68 canister (if it just had details on that would it be "useful"?) it has been very helpful for me in assessing adding a tilt system to the EXP repli-bute....

1968 Vacuum Canister for A/C + Tilt Steering

Be interested in some pics of how that one mounts under the fender.... appears to be outside the apron not under the tray..???

1968 Side stripe install... what a PITA....

I'm just going to scribe a line with a pair of dividers. Hold them horizontal and use the inner edge of the fender as the guide. There is a setback dimension in "the Book", but I'm on the road and don't recall the value... I'll probably cut some tempaltes from paper and mock it up to see what...

    1968 Fuel injection for carb

I looked at the throttle body style EFI for the EXP repli-bute. As I found a dual quad setup here for half what the EFI would have cost me ($2k) I dropped the idea. The pros as I saw it were crisper throttle response and the automatic tuning of AF mix. No "significant" power/performance gains...

    1968 A little progress

You can make an adapter plate and apply a '69 style single post headrest to the '68 seats... no need to replace the backs...

Here are three "Highland greens" side by side....

1968 Acapulco Blue Paint Code # and Mix Quantities

I'd suggest test samples before you buy it all. Colors will vary by manufacturer. I'd bet if you used the 3 codes above with even the same manufacturer the colors will vary. When picking the color for the EXP repli-bute I tested 4 different "Highland Green's" from 3 manufacturers, and they...

    1968 68/69 tilt steering column

I would assume there are a few. WCCC just had an advert for this service I got in an email yesterday. "See this guy? This is Don W. You might recognize him from the video you just watched. It turns out that Don is quickly becoming an expert in the vintage FoMoCo tilt / tilt-away steering...

    1968 Bumper Guards

IMHO the chrome fronts kinda defeat the intent of the blackout no-badge front grille... Agree on the pre/post strike issue and that the rears were originaly painted and chrome is after market.

    1968 Lucas light question

And yes, it appears Pete's blueprint does not have the "A".... some front end parts on my car were ink stamped Sept/Oct '72 as FoMoCo Service replacements so maybe my fogs are of that era too...

Yep and I wish a GT500KR was still $4500 in new condition! Supply and demand...

    1968 roof console

I would not have a problem with that. Used his headlight relays on all 4 of my Mustangs. Not the cheapest, but nice items that are plug and play, no cutting wires, good instructions, look like quality parts and no issues whatsoever... I have two volt meters I have not gotten around to...
