Which is for MZ to sell your data to advertisers... a company with nothing of value but its users info! An interesting business model, get people to give you personal data, track their web habits, data mine it, then sell it... no thanks!

1968 A/C Assembly Diagrams and Parts

As noted in your other post, the Master Parts Catalog has exploded views and part descriptions... The list is long and the are a lot of fiddly little ones: A quick list from memory, looked into it for my 68 S code GT coupe. Did the under dash, had a wiring disaster, and then ripped it all out...

1968 How do I check originality of engine and related component.

The carb ID on a Holley is usually a model, "list" number ,and date code on the air horn. A 3 character date code indicates an older (most likey 60's or earlier) and a 4 later replacements. This random pic shows only list and date. (photo shamelessley stolen from the web at random, too lazy...

    1968 8R01C156235 dying in a field

... well.... the original car in this thread sure qualifies as "unrestored"! And I will say I do judge those that walk up to my (or any car not theirs) at a show and touch it, open a door, sit in it, or plop a kid on the fender for a photo... without asking first (even then my answer is...

    1968 8R01C156235 dying in a field

Not that long ago these were just "old cars", not that "special". So someone maybe blew up the engine, yanked it and as a car with little value (front looks like it was in a bender) they figured why fix it up, wasn't worth anything so why dump $ into a losing cause. Pulled all the other parts...

Only '68 Mustang using a scoop similar to that would be the early 428CJ equipped cars.

    1968 8R01C156235 dying in a field

Owner provided a bit more info in the ad. Not surprisingly did not sell... Very rusty 68 california special project or parts car. All the fiberglass parts are missing, no motor or trans, most interior missing, will roll, was 289. C-4 red outside non gt standard interior, door plate and dash...

    1968 Turn Signal Flasher

And just hire a local small child, midget, pygmy or dwarf.... they shuld be able to get their hand in thru the ash tray opening to get to it...

    1968 Turn Signal Flasher

So on the flashers, I have a Tung-Sol 224 in the pic shown. Been told it is not correct and a Tung Sol 552 is. Anyone have a known OEM unit, for each (emerg flashers and turn signals), and a part number/color? And, the big one, does anyone have a spec sheet for the flasher units (I found...

    1968 Turn Signal Flasher

They are looking thru the space where the instrument cluster normally sits. As noted, you may be able to remove the ash tray, reach in and feel the metal bracket that holds the flasher, screwed to the pedal support. It is not the most convenient location!

    1968 Making Progress

You are not venting the valve cover. Some risk of "goop" buildup. The other side should port into the intake at the rear or a carb spacer with large vacuum port. The snorkel will pull some air at no or low speeds, the ram air effect of a forward facing hood scoop is minimal. And if it was...

    1968 Making Progress

The original air cleaners had a metal elbow or a plastic insert (think that came in in 70 or 71, probably cheaper than fabricating/connecting the metal ones) to connect the LH valve cover to the air cleaner. Part of the PCV/emissions system to reduce emissions and pull oily air back into the...

    1968 Making Progress

Some cars have a enclosure under the hood. A "ducted" system to the seal instead of just the seal against the hood. GT500KR Cutlass, 442's, GTO's and many others had this as part of their ram air systems.

    1968 Making Progress

Looks like a 69/70 scoop. Think it was used on Mach 1's and Torino's... Interesting setup. Hand made under hood plenum or FoMoCo? Or does the "seal" just jam up against the bottom of the hood?

    1968 Turn Signal Flasher

OEM mounts to a bracket above the pedals. Blue one in the photo. Difficult to get to, but easier than the emergency flasher, behind the left cluster support bracket, installs from the top. Not sure what idiot at Ford decided to bury these replaceable items so far up under the dash...

Ok, so made-to-order on the loom, not a sleeve... thanks!

1968 Tail light wiring Cloth loom

Most of mine looks brownish... 40+ years on who knows what it was like new! How do they recover it? Seems it needs to be on the loom before the plugs are installed? Which would require cutting/splicing, or is it some shrink type the looks kinda original?
