I think it should be cast on the head, like the one shown in the photo.

    1968 Engine Codes

Ford ran short of 289 blocks and used 302 blocks, with 289 heads, in many Mustangs, so finding "302" cast into a C-code block is not all that uncommon.

    1968 Equa-Lok Rear End

According to Marti my J-code originally had a 3.00 Equa-Lok differential. It now seems to have a 2.79 open unit. That makes for some slow starts with a 4-speed (now a 5-speed). I'm going to change out the pumpkin to shorter gears, but if I go to the trouble, and expense, of changing the...

    Volvo P1800

A few weeks ago I saw a Volvo P1800 at a cruise-in and thought it was a great looking car. Is anyone familiar with them? Good, bad, solid, cheap, will a 289 fit under the hood? Thanks

For Sale Small Eye Fog Light Covers

I know what you mean because I just lost a bid on a radio. My max was $88 and the last minute winning bid was $88.09. My guess is that was from someone with bidding software.

    dash lights

Here's another obvious answer but I'll throw it out there anyway. Have you check the bulbs? When you installed the radio you may have done something to blow the bulbs. The fuse should have blown first but we're talking about a 40 year old car so who knows.

1968 What has been the hardest part to get for your GT/CS ?

Again, not GT/CS specific, but try finding a new brake residual pressure valve. Scott's store sells rebuild kits, another site sells rebuilt units, and there are numerous aftermarket valves, but I don't know of anyone that sells correct new units.
