For Sale Black GT/CS at Mecum Indianapolis

Black with red stripes is one of my favorite GT/CS paint schemes. Neil, you should take yours to Mecum, it might have a pre auction estimate of $50-70,000. Neil, your car is bargain priced at $35k. Leaving money on the table my friend.

I have watched and enjoyed the Chris Ingrassia videos, aka Dr Mustang. I am actually in a few of the WCCC ones. We do instructional, informational, and fun ones. This is me a few years ago in my former Super CJ. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yc--F7hJJpk

Browsing through the registry, there are numerous occasions where there are consecutive serial numbers. Very likely the cars were scheduled in batches for production.

1968 Opinons on an interior modification...

Was talking to a friend of mine restoring/modifying a 1968 fastback. Same scenario, he wants to do the deluxe interior 'a la carte', but will use the 1967 brushed instead of woodgrain.

    1968 Knobhead...

If your stereo has a black balance control slider, under the push buttons, it is a 1970's Ford AM/FM stereo radio. Inexpensive alternative to 1968 factory AM/FM stereo's. I am going to use one.

Thanks for posting the drawing, just in case I ever have to put those belts up again. Not planning too, I guess I'm a rebel. I run with scissors too.

    1968 Rebuilt Title

Yes, a salvage title hurts the value of a car. It especially hurts the value of investment grade cars. When I worked in the insurance industry, if the repairs exceeded 75-80% of the ACV (actual cash value) the vehicle was deemed 'totaled'. If the State issued title is marked 'Salvage'...

    1966-67 HCS Fan blade spacing

Rule of thumb, fan blades should be halfway into the fan shroud.

    1968 Fog Light Confusion!

I think I would like to mention Marchal fog lights too. My GT/CS is an early built car (Feb 5, 1968), leaning towards Marchal fogs for my mine lately.
